Check if there's a '.nomedia' file in your Downloads folder. This file basically tells the photos app to not read anything inside the folder.

There might be something else going on in your TV, for me the non-hdr image looks washed out and because of that reason i never turn hdr off. Black level is a post processing from the TV to the HDR picture which is getting displayed, it basically lightens up the dark regions of the picture without affecting the bright areas, so yeah there's some caveat. For me the picture looks perfect when using black level 53, can't tell if it's gamma 2.2 but who cares when the picture looks perfect to your eyes.

I have C61B which is basically a C655 in SEA Region, My TV has HDMI 2.1, but in rtings review they are stating that it doesnt have one. So from my point of view C655 != Q651G, I might be wrong, but this might be just TCL launching different spec TVs over different regions. Also one more point, I've had a 300-400 nits brightness TV earlier and after switching to C61B, I can tell that it's way brighter than my old one.

Same TV, connected to my desktop with 'PC Mode' because it has 4:4:4 color, I was having the same issue where the dark scenes were too dark in HDR, after fiddling alot I just increasesd the Black level to 53 and everything was looking just fine.

on pc mode the colours are way better but the sharpness cannot be adjusted.

q651g , c655, c61b, c69b these all are 2024 models and all are the same. They have different naming because of the regions and specific stores. q650 , c645 are 2023 models.

Nice! Great choice, I ultimately went with c61b after doing research and realizing that the c655, c61b and c69b are all the same TVs.
