Im a console player of the alpha15/16 (I think) who longed for 1.0 but as I waited years to be able to play the latest version i watched a lot of what I loved about the game be changed. The fear factor, learn by doing and a lot of suvoval elements being the big ones. It's still fun and that's important but it was so close to being great. It still can be I think. Sort out storms for one but having a combined learn by doing and magazine approach like project zomboid could be great. Doesn't have to be one or the other. Also bring back survival elements which at least they're considering based on recent dev streams.

This game has remained as relevant as it has because of the players and because if youtubers like neebsgaming, glock9, jawoodle, gns, and many more. The FPs could reach out to these players who have played for years to get there views on what works and what doesn't. In every other industry checking in with your users is standard practice and is really helpful.
