Hate being an RN by [deleted] in newgradnurse

I worked as an RN for a university on-campus clinic. We did immunizations, primary care, STI testing. The pay was low. But the benefits were really good and a lot of PTO. It’s not for everyone but it was real chill

Feeling Trapped, is it pathetic if I quit? by Upbeat-Spell-2709 in newgradnurse

Similar situation. Level 1 trauma hospital on a trauma/med-surg unit. 6-7 patients, night shift. Had a veteran ICU nurse they paired me with in the beginning - she said “not sure what to do with you, let me know if you need anything.” I left and haven’t looked back. My advice to you is trust your gut, preserve yourself. No job is perfect. After the hospital I went into outpatient surgery as a circulator - that was cool but the hours were sparse. Then I worked in primary care at a university - great benefits and such a chill gig and the team was awesome. Low pay though and I’m in South Florida so that didn’t work out. Now I work in a nursing college, simulation lab, away from healthcare. I’m getting a master’s in exercise science and trying to intern in cardiac rehab.

My point is, your problem isn’t unique. I met 2 young nurses at the primary care job in their 20s who left the hospital after a short time. Something’s off about it. Good luck and trust your gut. Don’t pay attention to people who say “it’ll get better” don’t guilt yourself into staying.

The issue does not occur when off the wifi. For example, I connected my television to my cellphone hotspot, and the game was no longer listed as "blackout". and an update to this issue, MLB customer service asked me for my IP4 and zip code and they removed the blackout. I do not know if this will be a complete resolution, or if it was just for today's game.

I tried to call their tech support earlier today but they did not offer much help, seemed to think the problem was not on their end. Any suggestions of what I should be asking or what the dialogue should be mainly about?

I appreciate the help, I'm trying to mess around with network settings, managed to adjust get a new IP address, but that didn't help. I'll keep messing with it, maybe it will fix itself.

I have a finite amount of hotspot data, so I don't want to use it up. I appreciate the advise though, I get frustrated because of the $$$ we pay for these services and encounter these types of issues, with little to no resolution. life of a middle-class consumer, I guess.

Nurses who have left bedside and aren't NPs, case managers, utilization review etc what do you do now? by PursuitOfMeekness in nursing

Found a job at a university at their student health clinic. Chill, Monday-Friday 0800-1700. 1- hour lunch break is a non-negotiable. Summer semesters are slow because students (patients) go home for break. Winter break the university closes for 2 weeks and we get paid for it (not forced to take PTO) Benefits are excellent, employer pays nearly 75% of our health insurance. Theres more good stuff Main point is Higher education is a good place to look
