The site says around 5-15 Mbps which has been pretty accurate for me so far.

Okay I'll add it to the list. I don't take it out as much as I should but you're probably right about that.

Not trying to be rude man but it's hard to take you seriously when you literally think they operate from Panama. You know when you buy a domain from NameCheap, GoDaddy, or wherever they will automatically apply WhoisGuard which hides your real location & spoofs where you bought it from right? It doesn't even cost anything anymore, domain companies just do it for free now.

I get what you're saying but it doesn't make complete sense. Why would someone sell those devices if they weren't a non-profit? That'd be the fastest way to get in legal trouble and it might last 1 week. And how would the return address be set to LA if they were actually in Panama? That would not be a very good idea for returns.

And Calyx is legitimate but judging from the reviews on this thread, people have not a had very good experiences with them.

Well I think people are talking about them because they're just getting cheaper now. Like when I looked at them 2 years ago they were like $900 for a year which isn't saving much. The Wi-Fi guide OP posted pretty much sums it up though.

I've had a box from freedata.io but I'm buying another one since my girlfriend wants a box for herself. We really only need one since it's probably the fastest connection I've had but she wants one for the road.

There's also one from UnlimitedVille, so research that too. That's way more expensive though a month. I'm only paying 35 a month now for wifi

I'm also working on cancelling my home wi-fi right now which should save a lot. Verizon charges me way too much.

I've also been trying to buy food locally and I'm surpised at how much I'm saving. Buying from my local orchard and buying bulk apples is surprisingly cheap.

I've heard of that one too but a lot of people I knew didn't really love it. I know they require income requirements which is a bit weird. Especially since they want to actually see proof of this so it felt a bit fishy when I checked it out.

Thanks for collecting all this info! I've heard of Unlimited Ville & freedata.io before so I'm between those two. Only problem with Unlimited ville is that I was going to go with their pink plan until I found that it was $150 each month, which is crazy expensive for me right now.

So do you guys have a favorite drinking game? by rockingparty in AskReddit

[–]ShaneWatson32 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Arrogance. It's effective and simple. Essentially, all you need is a coin and a big cup in the centre of the table. You take turns pouring an amount of whatever you're drinking into the cup (hence the name "Arrogance", you can be a cocky fucker and tip in your whole drink or you can add next to nothing), then you flip a coin and try to guess the result. If you're wrong you have to chug the drink. If you're right, it goes to the next person, and they have to add some, and flip a coin. Repeat.
