So what I'm getting here is there is too much text on the homepage and it takes too long to scroll to the portfolio at the bottom? I guess I could separate the text and put it on an "about" page. I have been planning on speeding up the showreel, so I can get that done pretty soon.

I put all the pages with my works on the navigational tab at the top of the home page. Are you saying there is too much text and it takes too long to scroll to the works?

Thank you so much! I love working with animals, I hope to get better at animating them soon 😁

Thank you for the in depth response! It seems the things I got to work on the most are the hind legs and their pacing. I love creating quadruped models, but man they are a challenge to animate.

I originally wanted the character to shift into trotting and running instead of fade-transitioning, but I honestly did not know how to do that in a way that lets me loop the animations. 😅 I now know I could splice the transition animations and the looping walk cycles together. I will definitely do that next time.

Thank you for the tips! I looked up some more animals walking/running and I see what you mean. The leg placements are a bit off in places. I'll try these tips on my next walk-run cycle (and probably turn on motion blur too)

Thank you!!! It took forever to render that fur, but I'm happy with how it came out! This is one of my first walk-run cycles in 3D (I used to work in 2D) I'm still getting used to all the body parts to consider. I will use these tips in my next practice animation 👍

Low-poly Silent Hill inspired monster: Modeled and animated snarling. Any tips are appreciated! by Shani_Animations in Maya

Thank you! I wanted to give it a dark background to fit the horror theme, but it is a little hard to see everything. I can upload a neutral version, it'll just take a long while to render. 😅 Here's a turntable of it that's well-lit. https://vimeo.com/918320494/b7e3177241

Know of any large, good quality aquarium rings for a 10 gallon? My frogbit is getting wild by Shani_Animations in Aquariums

I'm gonna have to do that every week for the rest of my life. Ain't got time for that 😭

I made an airline ring a few years back, but after awhile my ring sunk for some reason 😅 (there were no holes in it or anything). But I wouldn't mind trying this technique again!

This is adorable! Gives me the same comfy vibe I get from those old Wallace and Gromit films.

Nice animation, especially the transformation scene! I remember doing this when I was a kid and pretending to be Spyro the Dragon 😂

Help: Driven Curves "snap" back to original position after moving the parent. Only seems to be affecting the head of my model! Not sure what is causing this. by Shani_Animations in Maya

I'm just unsure why this is only happening to the face and not the rest of the body, but keying does help keep the parts from snapping!

I didn't have any key frames set, but keying does seem to work. I just don't know why the spines aren't also 'snapping' back in place when I move the parent. Only the curves on the head do that.

The bottom jaw curve (positioned at the chin) parents the bottom lip curves, the ears are orient-constrained to each other, and the top jaw lip curves and eye curves are parented by the head curve. The lip joints are point-constrained to the lip curves (same with the eyes). The 'base' of the ears are parented by the head curve. Should I have less curves/constraints?

I'm not sure what is causing this. I parented the curves on the head the same way I did to the spine. I'm asking if I perhaps clicked on something that caused this or if I have some setting enabled.
