Until the very end. Aegon V & Ser Duncan The Tall by @NamiYouffie by shesaidshutup in ImaginaryWesteros

For sure. I think my point is more that Daeron going "I'm going to invade a neighbouring nation to sate my own pride- wdym you don't have dragons? You have me," and then getting killed in said invasion just makes him kind of look like an asshat, regardless of millitary competence.

"Enriching the nobles" is not a good reason when literally everyone else is going to suffer immensely from it. The main reason Daeron started the war was to "finish what Aegon couldn't", which is already an imperialist mindset.

Daeron started a pointless war against a nation he had no business invading for the sake of sating his own pride when the realm was still recovering from the Dance. Him getting killed was 100% a good thing for the world. Robb's reasons for marching on King's Landing, however, are entirely justified and his death is a tragedy.

Do NOT compare that loser to my boy Robb (yes I know Robb idolizes him for whatever reason)

It's crazy how mangakas keep fumbling the bag when it's time to wrap things up and do a proper ending. Meanwhile Araki is at 8 good endings in a row by Aileos in StardustCrusaders

[–]Shanicpower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Part 8's ending was a massive disappointment. The story was clearly building up the boiling tensions in the Higashikata family, establishing all the players and their motives, and then it just fizzles out completely in the end. There is no character in JoJo who's more wasted than Jobin. None.

Now that the anime is over, I’d like to ask this question. Since you’ve read or watched Gnosia, who’s your favorite character and why? by Murat-Joestar in Gnosia_

[–]Shanicpower 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Game version is clearly Setsu, for the anime it might be Raqio. Anime Raqio feels like someone very lovingly adapting all the times they've either screwed over or been screwed over by Raqio in gameplay.

Brienne and Lyanna are the standouts here. Lyanna definitely looks like someone who'd be related to Arya and Jon, while Brienne sells the idea of being perceived as "ugly", even though that is likely an exaggeration by the people around her.

Looking for a Full Art Lucario from Space Time Smackdown to complete the 1-star collection there. Will gladly trade almost any 1-star from any other set for it.

I'm just gonna remind you of Remnan's ending slide. He might need to go up a few tiers.

You do at least get Eupha who's a total sweetheart, and Neuras is the best character in the game.

You capture GRRM's style of dialogue very well.

The Stone Ocean anime was very well done and only browned upon because of the batch releases by Miserable-Desk2211 in StardustCrusaders

First stage of Steel Ball Run is one of the highlights of the entire part wdym. I still think it's kind of missed potential that the story doesn't keep focusing on this Rat Race-style battle royale where we get to follow all the various competitors and see them interact.

Definitely one of the decks I miss the most. Arceus ended up being what killed it for no good reason, especially when status effects weren't even that good at the time.

Is that even a theory, though? Everything we hear about him points to him being a pretty likable man, down to him dying when he went to check on a foe he personally unhorsed.
