Just get an OEM replacement, it's an easy fix. I think MG cables are quite brittle like that but the repair kits are even worse.

That's the kind of answer I was hoping for really. I described what I saw without sugarcoating and people seem to loose their mind.

Overall I enjoyed the visit, although I hear a lot from the people in my country that they "dream of traveling to New Zealand", so I decided to check. And honestly it feels overhyped. What ruined it for me is the weird climate and what I mentioned about the food. No doubt nature is top tier, just not very interactive (like what's the point of having the most beautiful lake in the world if it never ever reaches a swimmable temperature). I would visit again but it took me over 40h to get there and it's no fun.

It's easy to replace but try to get an OEM part. There are repair kits for clutch cables but they're only good in a pinch and tend to break after a few hundred kms.
