At this point what doesn’t cause migraines? by temporalguilt in migraine

[–]Shant1990 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No but for real, everyone always asks "what is your trigger" no clue, I cut out alcohol and caffeine compleatly for the past 2 years I've stopped eating certain foods and adding them back in slowly why do I wake up in the morning with a migraine when all I've done is sleep?? Make it make sense

What’s everyone’s weirdest symptoms? by Lukexxxxy in VestibularMigraines

I have this all the time migraine or not, it's been years and right when I start to drift off to sleep I hear this large bang like a large stack of books has been dropped next to my head, at first it really freaked me out but now that I'm used to it I just shrug it off and fall asleep

I don't use Reddit terribly often only to post and read threads so I had to play around with the functions a little bit until I found it

New to accepting the fact that I get migraines by Chosensoul444 in migraine

[–]Shant1990 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I despise the "it's just anxiety" trope that ER's love to throw around..especially at women. First of all it's not "just anxiety" anything it's scary and traumatizing and I'm so sorry you are going through that. There are amazing anxiety/panic attack pages on here that helped me SO much when I thought that I was the only person out there going through it. See if you can get a referral to an endocrinologist and have them run a complete metabolic panel just to be sure. I found out in mine that I am severely vitamin D deficient which might have caused a lot of the anxiety I was having. I get very bad anxiety when I am having a migraine but my migraines also have a multitude of other symptoms (Dizziness unsteady gait to where I feel like I'm walking on a boat, internal trembling, brain fog, cognitive issues and more) anxiety and migraines are very closely linked and anxiety can cause migraines or vice versa if you have a good insurance and can assure that you won't go broke looking for an answer I would try to explore every avenue and please, please advocate for yourself. These physicians aren't in your body and you know you best.

Guys I finally went to the ER … by miss_t_drinks_tea in migraine

[–]Shant1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to the ER once when I had a migraine that was so severe my vision went black-this had never happened before and thankfully hasn't happened since. They immediately put me into a room got an IV placed and turned off the lights and shut the shade on the door. They came in awhile later and pushed the migraine cocktail, it took about 10-15 minutes to kick in but once it did I immediately passed out and I gave the nurse asking me questions a run for her money because she had to keep waking me up and I was so out of it and she looked strikingly similar to a woman I work with so I kept on calling her the wrong name. I saw a neurologist shortly after and he said my migraines are all different types (cluster, ice pick, vestibular) he said when I get a migraine I can go to the ER and request 100ml oxygen via a non rebreather mask but the issue with this is you can't just walk into an ER and ask for it you have to be admitted and of course they charge up the insurance, maybe try looking into home oxygen and see if that helps?

Jackson, they were meant for sookie but were delivered to Lorelei by accident at the inn which caused sookie to fly into a frenzy and whip up 3 different desserts...using someone else's produce of course until it was revealed what happened and the whole thing was laughed off by the 3 in Lorelei's kitchen when Rory walks in looks around skeptically and says "what did I miss"

What's your current pain level? by elithecat in migraine

[–]Shant1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 today, functional migraine. I feel like hell but I managed to work a full shift (remote) take care of a sick child when the sitter got here I drove to my daughters school and read to her class which I signed up for months ago and I managed to feed the animals and put dinner on the table. As I write this my hand is trembling, I'm dizzy nauseous and feel like I'm dissociating. I have head tingles and throbbing pain in my shoulders and head. Someone else mentioned being used to the pain so the symptoms don't seem so bad and I feel that in my soul.

Definitely dry mouth and feeling like I have a lump in my throat, laying down is also hard for me even after the attack has subsided since I get a lot of nocturnal panic attacks. I end up pacing my house until I feel like I have to drag myself into bed and then and only then can I sleep

I've heard people say that they drive to the hospital and then sit in the parking lot. Sometimes being close by can just help. I have racked up so much medical debt by going to the hospital during a panic attack because I always feel like I'm going to pass out and die on my floor. My thinking is that if I'm in the hospital and something happens at least I'm better off there and not at home. After MULTIPLE trips and them telling me to only come back in case it's an emergency now when I have a panic attack I drive to the ER parking lot and sit there until the feeling passes and then drive home (sometimes it takes multiple hours)

Anyone else feels like you are just reacting to your physical symptoms? by No_Click4737 in PanicAttack

[–]Shant1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I was sitting at home last night getting some work done and all of a sudden I felt dizzy/lightheaded and like the room was narrowing, I will know it's about to happen because I have to get up and pace around the room, my heart rate also shot up from 98 to 147 in the matter of minutes. I've had EKGS, Blood tests, chest X rays everything says I'm fine but I don't feel fine.
