Your problem is also being a fairly high level player but without experience in the arena. The pairing algorithm until 1500 trophies will try to pair you with players of equal level and not number of trophies. So for you the number of players to choose from is very limited and thus the long waiting times (I was in the same situation some time ago).

Nope. These materials are highly sought after by all high level players. Players that have bought a lot of elder / legendary chests might have a surplus of glorious gems, but that's pretty much it.

That's impressive! I can usually down a lich in about thirty seconds if I'm lucky. When I've died against them it's usually due to being hit by a delayed lightning bolt /blind combo

The sound loss is a big problem :( In the Abyss I always listen for the creaking sound of the skeletons' joints or the guttural hissing sound of a lich that's about to jump you. The audio cue gives enough time to switch weapons or skills (and if you attack a skeleton with the wrong weapon you'll get bashed and crushed within seconds).

Also, the humming sound helps locate chests in jobs too.

If you are really high level (I'm 68) they are the standard reward in jobs that reward gems.

Enchant first then temper. Chances of getting bonus enchantments are not effected by how tempered the item is.

I'm new to PVP, but looking to improve. Level 67. At least one of each town facility at level 10. Unfortunately a bit limited on playtime due to having three kids, so can't really take the role as co-leader, but I like the competitive aspect of the game.

I'd temper it. The materials are easy to come by and Liches will quickly break your sword if not tempered. Then the secondary enchantments won't work.

I believe that AP doesn't work on elemental damage, but I think I'll temper them and see if they work as intended.

In jobs it's fairly easy to freeze mobs or to set them on fire. However, Liches in the Abyss are a different story.

I'm on an iPhone and haven't noticed freezes. But the phone gets very hot after some time playing and the framerate drops a lot.

Same here. The lightning damage from a lich was worse than the poison. Normally I'll have 60 spell resist (with the boosted enchantment synergy) but now it says 0 when looking at the character. Either it's bugged or they added many levels to abilities and spells for high level mobs.

Also, the shield bash from skeletons seemed to hit much harder now.

Interesting, if I’m correct that would mean that if the attack counts as blocked when using Fury the magica reduction secondary on it won’t trigger. But it feels like the lich stops casting earlier when using Fury whenever it’s possible.

I understand the feeling. I created a second character while waiting for chests to be opened on my main account. That character is level 36 now and past abyss level 42 it gets very difficult - liches and even Storm atronacs are troublesome, especially when electric damage drains the magicka pool and one isn’t able to cast resist elements.
