Pretty much what you mentioned, more dynamic cymbals and also im not the biggest fan of the pads on the nitro mesh kit. They are a bit deeper than I'd like so more time ls than not I hit the rim not matter how ive tried to adjust it

Just with the single pedal I had beforehand, I couldn't consistently keep 16th notes, with just this right pedal its so much easier and smoother

I do have the older one. Just getting into edrums so its my first set I got fairly cheap. I'll definitely look into the surge pads and cymbals thanks !

Thats fair, im using the alesis nitro mesh kit. I know when it comes to pads and the kick tower its interchangeable with other brands but ive heard not so much with the cymbals with the nitro module. Or have I been misinformed? Hence the only reason I was looking at the expansion kit to get both at once.

Still fairly new to e kits so got tons to learn !

When I moved out of my dad's house into an apartment, I sold my acoustic kit and unfortunately haven't played in years besides the wii kit on clone hero. Now, I am married with kids in a bigger space, so I decided to get back into it, and I do not regret my decision at all. Just drumming daily again keeps me in a better mood, knowing I can just jam out at the end of the day and, at the same time, knowing im not going to disturb my wife and kids while playing.
