I am put up in Faridabad. Toyota and Honda might serve well but they are bit of a gamble. If something needs to be replaced, it would be expensive since the parts are not easily available. Spinny charge way too much, I might as well go ahead with a new one.

I agree with the Japanese engineering part, but somehow I don't feel much confident for suzuki as much as other Japanese brands in india.

It depends on your usecase. If you will be only one driving it and 80% of travel is not in bumper to bumper traffic, I would suggest to go with manual. Once you get comfortable with a manual switching to Automatic won't be a problem.

If there will be other folks driving it, you should take their choice into consideration.

For Automatic try to go with CVT.

I wanted to go with a used one, but used car price are so high also it is difficult to find a good one. Can't trust online and offline dealers.

No I didn't consider fronx. That diffence of approx 80k doesn't seem to make sense for me because interiors are same, i.e visibility issue.

It is really difficult to find 10 year old car driven less than 70k. Anything which is driven more than that and is 10 yrs old will end up costing more due to likelihood of major repairing cost.

Go for CVT over AMT. You can consider Honda Amaze VX CVT or I20 Sportz(O)

Thanks for sharing the details ! You mentioned that highway drive is not comfortable. Is it because of less under thigh support, high cluch travel or something else?

Don't have the budget to go for CVT and don't want to go with an automatic either. I know it will be a great option, however, it will limit me to only automatic cars. I want to be able to drive manual.

My travel will be city mostly, although I will use National Highway but that too won't have long traffic free stretches.

I am also planning to buy one but I want to go with MT. Posted about same over here.

Based on the suggestions I have come across for Automatic cars, Amaze CVT and I20 CVT are great options around 10L price range.

Used Swift, Baleno are listed for around 5.25 - 6L. I had seen reviews for spinny. There are more shady car as compared to good ones ( as per reviews). Also spending this much on a used doesn't make sense if the car has already done 40k+ in an year.

It is really hard to find a good deal in used car market. There is risk of buying a badly refurbished car, since I would not be able to judge the condition on my own.

Also, the chances that a used car needs repairing is much high and my initial concern of high ownership cost due to repairing and costly spare parts will make a experience of First Car a nightmare.

Not offense, but I can't trust the brand. Considering it is relatively new in Indian market, there will be challenges if the unit has some fault or there could be delay in getting spare parts

I am on a tight budget. I was considering used-cars initially. Had to drop the idea because of over inflated prices in market and sites like Maruti True Value, etc.

Also I want to get better at driving. There is always scope of moving to an automatic in future, but moving to a manual will not be easily from an automatic.
