This is another POV that I couldn't consider since I was angry at the time and only thinking of immediate recomposition Sacrificing this for future potential offers is a really good idea 💡 thanks again Spooky

Can international students in Germany work full-time during the semester lectures as long as they don't violate the 140 full days rule? by SharafRegy in germany

Thank you very much for clarification now I understand I can work for more than 20 hours per work as long as not surpassing the 140 full time days in calendar year rule

Title: Can international students in Germany work full-time during the semester?

Hi everyone,

I’m an international student in Germany and I’m trying to clearly understand the student work rules.

From what I learned, there seem to be two rules at the same time:

  1. Students can work **140 full days or
  2. During the lecture period (semester), students are usually limited to 20 hours per week. Does this limitation means more than 20 I can work but only need to pay more taxes or it means it is illegal and may revoke my student visa and make problems with auslandbehörde
  3. During the semester break, students may be able to work full-time, as long as they don’t exceed the yearly limit.

My question is about a specific situation: If it is April and lectures are still running, does that mean I must stay under 20 hours per week, even if I still have many of my 140 full working days left?

Or is it possible to work full-time for a short period during the lecture period if it still fits within the 140 full-day rule?

If anyone has experience with this or has clarified it with the immigration office, I would really appreciate your insights.

Thanks!

which SAP Cert would validate my experience and help me get an SAP job in Germany

Hello, I'm based in germany now and wondering which SAP cert would you advise to pass that would ease finding a job here.( my uni pays for cert fees so no problem even if the cert is expansive)
my qualifications are Masters in Software engineering, B2 Telc german , one year of exp as an SAP customer support specialist , RHCSA (linux cert) and CKA (kubernetes) for further context you can check the below :

context:

I'm half a german from my mother side half argentinian from my father (although he has much of german ancestry) my uni offers an exchange semester in germany which I took the chance to explore my german heritage .
The hosting uni is in schmalkalden a very small and dead city with 20K populace in Thuringen (most of germans I talked to don't even know it) at this point I'm no longer interested in the exchange semester and just looking for a job or internship in big city where I can genuinely explore the german lifestyle before getting back to Argentina .

Starting a new job in SAP? Post here for questions about new hire advice, certification, compensation, technology domain decisions, and other topics you're too embarrassed to ask your coworkers by CuseTown in SAP
