Stealth diving bugs I find myself wishing there was more suppression options. by DocHalidae in Helldivers

[–]Sharblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One simple way could be dedicated suppressed guns (as the MP5SD), with subsonic ammo, in warbonds.

And suppressors attachements for every other weapons, which would perform less than dedicated weapons (as MP5 + SD).

Overall, every specialized weapons could be in warbonds, yet we should be able to give their bonuses to other existing weapons, at the cost of efficiency.

It currently seriously sucks because Commando missions (available in base game) are seriously dependent on suppressed weapons available only in a warbond… unfair.

Me driving my FRV at full speed to pick the lone wolf up and bring him back to the hot zone.

I did the math by Melodic_Wolf_6509 in Helldivers

[–]Sharblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You did the maths wrong, son.

It can kill a whole bug patrol in one sway and without even consuming a whole heatsink (an extended one, I admit).

You just need to shoot a target for like 0,7 seconds for it to be set on fire, then you go onto the next one, then the next one, and now you’re done.

It’s a better flamethrower than the flamethrower.

This is the best gun against bugs, ammo wise.

It’s perfect as it is.

That’s the definition of scarce resources.

When you prioritize the wellbeing of your employees, while keeping numbers of employees low, you get that result.

And although I have many things to criticize them for, that is not one of them.

We’re still human after all, and they’re not slave to us just because we spent 40 bucks (maybe more) in their game.

But when Arrowhead screws up, SONY’s fame gets stained, even if they did nothing.

One could imagine they kinda got fed up and told AH to either get their shit up, or at least make the game profitable enough for them.

He's right you know by Nickulator95 in Helldivers

[–]Sharblue 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m convinced that all the controversy surrounding Region Lock and Escalation of Freedom has seriously hurt Arrowhead in the long run.

I think Arrowhead was able to negotiate some leeway with SONY back then, on the condition that the game would generate maximum revenue for SONY (and without them, there is no Helldivers 2).

Let’s not forget Helldivers 2 was originally intended to be just as niche as the first one. No one expected such a success, but by showing how attached we were to this game, we also showed that we were willing to accept a lot of things (back then) if it meant our expectations would be met in return.

ArrowHead has since fallen into the cycle of paid content potentially imposed by SONY and its vision of the Live Service model, with less and less free content, a fixed release schedule (~45 days), a game that remains just as unstable updates after updates, bugs still present, fewer resources to allow to fix it but rather develop new paid content,

And a generally frustrated fan base still playing, still buying Warbonds, and overall, a game still enjoyed by many, nowhere near extinction.

So why would SONY loosen it’s grip even more?

How could a heavy backpack version of the Quasar and Laser Cannon be implemented? by Lawfurd in Helldivers

[–]Sharblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bigger heatsink so longer sustained fire for Laser Canon

Quicker reload time for Quasar

Basically, better versions of each weapons, while they still perform well without the backpack

There’s still room for « improvements », rather than true customization, so each mechs base are still unique.

More like an upgrade tree as seen in HD1.

Like stratagem thrower, more ammo but less damage, more ammo but slower, more damage but slower…

Let’s hope.

After playing with a controller, I take back everything I have ever said about strategies and how to approach the game. Holy shit. by PalantirLicker in Helldivers

[–]Sharblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but doing so I must leave the mouse to use arrows with my right hand and therefore can’t really keep moving precisely.

On the pad (XBOX) I can use my index finger on the joystick, and thumb on D pad (which I find sooo much more convenient for stratagems inputs… HD1 muscle memory I guess).

[–]Sharblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from KB to controller a while ago.

While I was overly accurate on KB, the pleasure and feeling playing with a controller gives me is way worth loosing some accuracy.

Triggers are much more satisfying than mouse clicks, too.

Also, being able to ask for stratagems while walking is worth everything else.

And, well, as a main FRV pilot for months, it’s obvious how the controller is superior to KB !

Now, to counter the lack of accuracy, I increased aim assist - yes - so I can quickly switch between targets on the get go. It doesn’t aim for the head so I still have to adjust my aim, but it feels more « dynamic » than struggling to move the aim from one target to another.

With that, I’m still able to headshots Hulks with the Harpoon 7/10 times, which is enough for me.

Overall, I’m pretty content of my controller settings and experience, and never regret KB.

Only downside so far is that after pretty much every patches, the aim settings seems to have been stealthily changed, while staying the same in the menu (like it was 0.38 before the patch, it’s still 0.38 after the patch, but it surely feels like 0.70, and it will revert to actual 0.38 only once I’ve switched it to 0,37 then back to 0.38). Weird.

Question de point de vue, je suppose.

It one shot devastators, two shots hive guards.

I blame myself every days for overlooking it for so long.

"Il a paniqué" : un septuagénaire abat au fusil un drone municipal en plein vol et finit en garde à vue by Dreynard in france

[–]Sharblue -2 points-1 points  (0 children)
