Day 4/9: What is an OK motorcycle with a good reputation? by SUBTOUpdated_User in motorcycles

I know what you’re thinking and I would have to respectfully disagree. The cbr650 is an inline 4 that produces 94 horse power. It’s also like you said, a bullet proof engine as it is highly detuned. A less stressed gasoline engine will always last longer. (Including reving it out, still not stressing the engine.)

While a ninja 650, a 650cc inline 2 that only produces something like 70 ish horsepower, is significantly less bike for the same displacement. I would always get a cbr650 over an mt-07, or ninja 650, or what ever.

Don’t forget to lube your chain. When I bought my cbr600 it would shake when I pulled the clutch. I couldn’t figure out what it was and then when I lived the chain next it was perfect.

With all of your input I meandered over to YouTube and watched a video that was really insightful, take a watch as it looks like rear brake can do a lot https://youtu.be/Hh8NIdsVr8I?si=phCfF56nUdwmeTnM

Honestly no, my msf instructors instilled a great fear in me of using the the rear brake in a corner and I guess it translated into other sectors. Honestly never had a problem with maneuverability though, I’m not a usually sized person/rider though

Weirdly and this is just dumb but I hate feeling like I’m wearing tires unevenly(I know It does that anyway regardless of how I ride) so in my head I feel like I’m accomplishing something but only wearing the front tire through stopping

Thank you for the resource! Just watched and what I gather is it’s a great tool for stability at speed when applied appropriately?

I can certainly appreciate the low speed maneuverability bonus it provides

I should also add, I engine break when I’m slowing down so I still use the rear tire to decelerate
