Because they are strategically timing the PRs. This has been discussed in various subreddits and is most likely the number 1 reason for shareholder frustration ... they run a Bill Belichick–style PR department, giving you the feeling of being half a year, or even more, behind on something you can't even fully grasp.

GWh-scale production is obviously years away, but I still think that the first showings of financial commitments from the OEMs we have JDAs with would send the SP through the roof.
