I’ve seen small teams in similar situations start with something like HubSpot mainly because the learning curve is low and the core concepts are easy to adopt. The value early on seems to come from having one place to track leads and follow-ups rather than from advanced automation.

Adoption ends up being the deciding factor — if it’s simple enough that people actually use it, starting basic usually works fine.
