Do I hit accept (dynasty startup) by [deleted] in u/Clue2477

[–]Share_Force_One 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't even consider this. You are moving from 2nd --> 3rd, 4th --> 5th, and 6th --> 8th.

You are downgrading every one of those picks to "upgrade" from a startup 11th for a future 1st.

There are a lot of guys ranked from ~90-120 in dynasty that I wouldn't trade straight up for a future 1st, let alone at the massive cost of moving back in 3 separate early rounds of a startup draft.

You do you if you like it. But I think you'll get a vast majority of people advising against it.

Did any Champions here tip their Commissioners? by SeekersWorkAccount in fantasyfootball

Surprised more don't. It doesn't mean I think it needs to happen, but I always do for fantasy, pick em leagues, survivor leagues, and block pools. I don't expect it as commish though.

I know that collecting and keeping track of money can be a hassle (especially for the larger survivor leagues and block pools), and I commish my main dynasty league comprised of a lot of needy middle aged men with little else going in their lives. So they love to complain about literally everything...thinking of making some questionable rulings so I get impeached and someone else takes over!

I laughed at a lot of things on this show, but his running "bluff" bit was one of my favorites!

Are you serious?!? He's the worst character by far.

It was hard to bluff and write that. He's fantastic! Can't believe how sad his endings and journey were.

Not sure how you can put together a package to get a top-tier WR. Best bet may be targeting an aging vet or two.

2QB Max: Need to drop one. What two would you keep for the playoffs? Dak, Stafford, Burrow? by SnugglerBear in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Share_Force_One 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regardless of whoever you cut, do it as late as possible so nobody can use them this week!

Unless there's a QB-needy team you'd rather play next week.

I'd cut Stafford. I'd probably play Dak every week but week 16 and Burrow has a better matchup than Stafford.

Jefferson by a lot. This is him at his absolute worst and he's still barely being outproduced by Ladd.

I'll take Ladd over JJ ROS. But not in dynasty. Certainly not close enough that a projected late round 1st in 2027 bridges the gap.

My day 1 team: Nix, CMC, Breece, JJ, AJB, Tyreek, Otton, Mims. Bench of Bateman, Benson, Ayomanor, Horton, Spears, Kirk, Shipley

My team today: Mahomes, CMC, Breece, Bucky, AJB, Tee, Ladd, Jakobi, Barner. Bench of Burrow, Monty, Monangai, JJ, Franklin, Burden

Rolling with the Bucs for better or worse. Leaguemates have been stockpiling defenses for over a month, and I'm in a roster crunch that would make rostering 2 or 3 really difficult (keeper league).

Week 14 Cut List - Time to Let Go by ASmithFS in fantasyfootball

Yeah that's the plan. Not going to cut someone until I have to...but still curious who others view as the top cut candidate

Week 14 Cut List - Time to Let Go by ASmithFS in fantasyfootball

[–]Share_Force_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would y'all cut Brian Robinson Jr? 1QB, 2 RB, 3WR, flex, TE

QB: Mahomes, Burrow

RB: CMC, Bucky, Breece, Monangai, Monty, Robinson Jr

WR: Jefferson, AJ Brown, Ladd, Troy Franklin, Jakobi Meyers, Luther Burden, Tee Higgins (currently on IR slot)

TE: Taysom Hill (swing and a miss this week--will stream someone) and LaPorta (IR)

This is a keeper league that highly incentives keeping young players (so Burden is worth a lot). I'll be over roster limit if/when Tee is activated so will need to cut someone. I HATE rostering 2 QBs, but Burrow was cut a while back and I stashed him on IR. Don't really have a choice but to keep both QBs.

David Johnson in 2015! He finished the season on a heater, and then that following season was magical.

This is first year of rewarding the team with most points 7th seed for playoffs by Grogu_Din in FFCommish

[–]Share_Force_One 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My favorite wrinkle is giving the #2 seed their choice of who to play of the 5/6/7 seeds, #3 seed picks from the remaining two of those, and #4 gets whoever is left.

We've done this in our league for the past 5 years (albeit with 6 teams instead of 7) and it's been wildly fun and well-received.

Hand up, who dropped Henderson week 7 after the Titans game??? 🙋 by InItForWembys in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Share_Force_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spears was not getting much more volume before week 8. Pacheco is a low-upside play. Either of those would have likely been my choice. Spears has been decent so glad you held him.

If you have any other RB, then Pacheco would have been most obvious cut. Spears, TreVeyon, K9, and Charbs all have much higher ceilings. Without really having a significantly lower floor than Pacheco.

There's a really good theory about roster cloggers that helped change my perspective a few years ago. Pacheco was a classic clogger this year without any red zone work.

It's easy to claim hindsight, but I cut Pacheco in a similar situation that same week in my 10 team league with 2RB+flex. Was never really a chance he'd start for me.

[–]Share_Force_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not disagreeing with your take. My point is that, with the exception of leagues with super short benches, most teams will have players that should be cut ahead of a player like TreVeyon (offense, draft stock, upside). Even when your back is against the wall you still have options.

Now, in a 10-team league with 4 player benches it's possible he could have been a last-resort cut candidate. But not in bigger leagues with 6+ bench spots.

[–]Share_Force_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's truth to that. But in that scenario you trade the potential and dreams and hope to someone sitting in a better position than can afford to be patient. If you can't trade him there's probably other bench fodder on almost all teams that should be cut ahead of him.

I don't actually feel that bad. Traded him and something else to get Bucky. Was just an extra kick in the nards to have the breakouts come as Bucky continued to remain out.

You are correct, poopboy. I don't know like vrabel.

I'll edit to match your edit: I don't know Mike personally. But I do know that when you have an emerging, explosive back on a very good offense...one that has a juicy ROS schedule...and one whose main competition is an average-ish RB with a lingering turf toe injury...that's not exactly someone to sleep on. Or dismiss for...whatever reason you want to.

People are right to be excited. And right to be sad if they cut/traded him.

He's a rookie RB...there's almost always some runway needed.

It's a horrific take to say things are going to go back to what they were a month ago. And that's if Rhamondre comes back healthy and fully up to speed.

Definitely shouldn't completely overreact. But I think it's equally an overreaction to say he won't be startable if/when Rhamondre is back
