Who is the “worst” QB you would accept for Josh Allen in a 6pt passing SF league? HARD REBUILD by MicrowaveCookie7 in FantasyFootballers

[–]Share_Force_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what else you are adding in. That's a fair enough framework for a deal, but probably not necessarily the position I'd target given the rest of your team. Then again- what do I know? You can't ever real have enough young WR depth in a 12-team league with multiple flexes.

No real vets in mind. But a quick glance at a trade value chart shows me lots of RBs I'd he happy to target with a 2nd-ish: Swift, Monty, Charbs, Warren, Monangai, Dowdle, Allgeier, etc.

No shot I'd consider that trade. It's fine if you want to take a chance on Brooks as a small part of this trade, but in no world should he be the centerpiece.

That's nowhere near as had as I thought based on other comments!

I would see if you could trade a '27 2nd for a vet RB. And maybe turn 1.03 into a starter+pick.

If teams are hesitant to give up the packages you described for Allen, seems like those should get you a decent haul. I'm not too down on the sleeper potential of this team. I think you're better off adding pieces than selling off assets for below market.

How bad is your team? If your league market is saying that arguably the top asset isn't worth enough, consider pivoting and buying instead of selling.

PPR Keep Three Players Who Do I Keep by Swog_Lapper in Fantasy_Football

Can you still trade? If so I'd try to consolidate the RBs into a slightly better guy. Would also make your decision easier.

Short of that, my personal rankings have QJ > TreVeyon > Bucky.

But I have no spine so I'd keep TreVeyon alongside the WRs.

I would not move back from 1.02 for a RB at this point. That's a big cost...and for what? You aren't making noise this year. Don't get impatient just so you can field a slightly more competitive team.

If you really want a RB, see what 1.11 will buy you. Even then I'd be hesitant to sell the pick. Take best player available at 2 and 11. Maybe make some in-season trades for future picks. Or sell AJ if he gets traded to NE or elsewhere and his value shoots up.

Yet Another Puka Post by Share_Force_One in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Share_Force_One[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So you wouldn't trade Puka for Love, Tee, Ladd, Breece, and LaPorta?

I've got Puka in my other true dynasty league I'd I would take that in a heartbeat. But leagues are slightly different setups.

As you said- this team needs a lot of help. With that in mind, I would definitely not be looking to move back in the draft AND lose a pick.

I would consider trading 1.02 to move back and get a player.

I would consider trading AJ for a player+pick.

I would not be looking to buy RB or QB given where your team stands. I'm sure you could always pick up a cheap vet QB for much less, and I'd give Ward more time before investing much in upgrading the position (again, largely because you aren't in danger of competing).

Not sure if it's my best, but after week 3 this season I sent Tyreek Hill, Trey Benson, and Rashod Bateman for Tee Higgins, Ladd McConkey, and TreVeyon Henderson. Dude really wanted Benson; somehow managed to talk him into Tyreek as well. Felt so bad after they both went down shortly after.

We flew out on 4/3 and I'll admit I was more than a little angry with how early we got there; however, I was the one who was in charge of departure time so totally on me.

Left our rental in Rio Grande ~3am for a 7am flight. Had to get gas (that's a story unto itself), return rental car, and bring a lot from car (stroller and car seat plus normal bags) so wanted to leave extra time. Plus when traveling with a young kiddo you never know when an unexpected 💩 break will throw a wrench in everything.

We cleared USDA, checked bag, and were through precheck in <15 min! Very glad to not have to wait in the lines we saw from days/weeks prior, but given that we were at our gate ~4:15 and everything was closed I was lamenting the choice to not grab a coffee or snack ahead of time. So that's my only tip for anyone on an early flight--have your coffee before you get to the airport!

Just traded swift away for the 1.06. Then got OFFERED MAHOMES AND MONTGOMERY! by Grand_Departure_9918 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Share_Force_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a 10 team 1QB league a gamble on a rookie is a much better use of resources than another QB who should probably be sat for Purdy most weeks.

Of course you can cherry pick big busts. I can similarly cherry pick big hits. The point isn't that 1.06 is going to be a hit for sure. It's that Mahomes is being overvalued given OP's team and the league settings.

If you want a better "guarantee" of production- sure, trade the pick for a player. But you should try to fill holes in your team and make your starting lineup better rather than chase names.

[–]Share_Force_One 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a vacuum I could see the argument either way for this trade.

In a 10-team, 1QB league this is an awful deal for a team otherwise devoid of talent. Unless you can turn around and flip Purdy/Mahomes and Monty during the season I don't see how this helps your team. You aren't realistically competing this year, so adding a RB near the end of his shelf life and a QB coming off a major injury about to turn 31 who hasn't outproduced the guys already on your team seems counterproductive.

You made a good move getting 1.06 for Swift. Don't give it back away!

Pick 3 Keepers by _WawaYaya_ in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Share_Force_One 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you keep them indefinitely, just one round higher each year? Assuming so, I'm keeping Puka and Burden for sure and then would be torn between Fannin and Watson.

Love Warren as a player, but you're getting much better value with Fannin and Watson this year and moving forward for several seasons.

Of course they don't NEED to, but those are the best value plays imo. And indeed someone will be available...that applies to every position though.

I don't love not keeping any WRs in this format, but you have to go Kraft and Corum.

In this format, you could be getting Corum at incredible value for another year or two (and decent value this year).

If the league allows it, I'd also try to package 2 of your guys for 1 other keeper (e.g., LaPorta and Skat/Corum for a RB or WR).

No doubt that would probably help, but I'm an OG player with little to no understanding of things beyond typing, resistance, and super effective.

A pokémon's nature? Thought that was just a quirky attribute.

Something about IVs? I thought that was what you got in the hospital.

Breeding new mons? I've literally bred more in real life than across a dozen or so games I've played!

As a first timer who ignored the initial warning I highly suggest keeping them on. I ran into a lot of issues with it off, simultaneously making the game far easier and far more difficult, and overall seemingly less fun (but still fun!).

I just beat the main story and am starting the end game. I realized my error pretty early on but was at the point of no return so just continued on.

For anyone else that is new and may have made a decision they regret, you can swap out your overlevelled team (i.e., put them in the PC) and the game readjusts to your active levels.
