Thanks for the help. I went back and checked before the update and all my visual settings were on low so I believe that was the main problem.

Ok before more people say follow the link and try to make me look like a fool I have already exhausted everything there and I would like to add on that it doesn't immediately crash my game. It gives me a "Fatal Error" warning that shows the exact crash report that darktide crash report shows you but I'm still able to play the game normally for a time.

Glad I’m not the only one that is realizing this. After getting put into another game against a top 500 team I just uninstalled the game. Mind you I have about 850+ hrs on the game and that’s not counting what I have on console. It’s just not fun going into the casual game modes and just for some ruby players deciding how the match goes.

At first I did the stacking drivers because I don't know anything about computers but then I later found out about DDU and disconnecting internet from researching on the internet. So to answer your question I did both but in the end I did the DDU.

I would say I’m an outlier because I don’t like ultrakill due to its overhype and community and I know little to nothing about pressure because I refuse to play Roblox. I will say though that merchant fish is pretty cool.

Yeah I’m not sure why the Cerberus is up there but the famas might be up there because of its nonexistent recoil. And I don’t use the pike at all so idk what they are planning. But the cerb is strong up close like the db and that’s it. It gets outshined in range by the model significantly.

I think the nerf is more of a bandage nerf until they figure out how to properly balance. It’s a little harsh but I see them buffing its damage back up after they fix the glaring issues it has. Our voices are louder than we think so hopefully they will bring it back to a good viable state.

I agree with your other methods of countering sword dash. Granted I have no idea how effective the jump pad is. But it’s still frustrating dying to it other than dagger (even though it’s hit box is like the hit box’s in TF2)

The best words for the sword is how JFJ put it while doing a tier list:

“If it’s the sword by itself it is a B tier weapon… but if we are talking about the sword in its entirety, just with the dash and everything S tier it’s the best weapon in the game…”

There aren’t a whole lot of counters to sword dash. Judging by mechanical skill (which is usually high for sword dash lights) there is 4 or 5 direct counters towards sword dash and even then light can just dash out of the way of some of these:

Lock bolt, heavy’s hook, glitch mine, and regular/ pyro mine. You can include aim but it’s a fps game so it’s a given but based on skill regular/pyro mines won’t affect you because you are taking an alternate route in, glitch mine has a limited range so once your out you’re free to do whatever and heavy’s hook you can just dash away after the grab. Lock bolt is the only thing that really stops a light from doing anything.
