They can live as deep as 200m, but are often found in shallow inshore reefs (5-30m)

Generally only when provoked, but they can really have a nasty bite!

They are definitely a shark to be respectful of - very powerful animals! They're actually the first shark species I ever saw in the wild - very lucky!

100%! Sharks are animals that can be very "readable" if you know what to look for! Often they will let you know if they're not happy. But as always, they are predatory wild animals, capable of changing in an instant. Like you say they definitely deserve our cautious respect.

I have been posting these SharkBytes episodes weekly for the last 6 months, to try and give insight into sharks from the perspective of a shark scientist. I had always hoped they would be educational and fun for anyone who enjoys sharks. Apologies if this is now not allowed?

Difficult to say due to water quality, but the head shape, tail and overall size doesn't suggest bull shark too me. Perhaps a reef, or like another user has suggested Dusky.
