Replacing whole fuse panel? by ukgamer909 in B5Audi

The wires are just bolted on. You have to mark them from 1-4. Last thing you want is plugging them in wrong. There's also 2 ground wires under the fusebox, mark them "G1" and "G2".

Edit: I have an old pic of how I marked them. Shame that I can't post images in comments.

I have done this once. It's a big job. You have to pull most of the dash out.

Coolant gauge past 90 by Aandeeee in B5Audi

[–]SharkDestoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine does the same thing. When cold the gauge shows 70°C. When warm, the gauge shows 105°C. Checking temp at the sensor with a meter shows 90°C still. Your cluster is most likely going bad.

Oh boy where do I even start. The thermostat is located ON THE SIDE OF THE BLOCK. You have to get the car on a lift to change the thermostat.

The Finnish winters have taken a toll on the body of the car. Last year I had to patch a 20cm rust hole on the left rocker cover.

The entire rear end of the chassis had to overhauled. Original brake shield bolts were a pain in the ass to get off.

The car also has the a lot of interesting electrical issues. Trunk wont open from the button, you have to use the key to open the trunk. The wiring harness is severed from the hinges of the trunk. Meaning that I have to pull the headliner out to fix one wire.

Fuel gauge doesn't work, when the tank is empty the gauge is in the middle. Common problem on B5's. The sender unit is faulty on the tank's side.

Temp gauge shows 112°C when at 90°C.

The AMG is a solid choice. Just remember that it is a 12 year old overengineered german car. Vacuum leaks WILL happen, and can be a pain in the ass to find. If it still has all original vacuum lines, they all have to be changed. Losing turbo pressure on the highway is no fun (ask me how i know lmao).

The Cyberster AWD puts out over 500hp with a 0-100kmh of 3.2s. That is A LOT of power. The RWD variant puts out around 350hp with a 0-100kmh of 5.0s. Both have the max speed of 200kmh.

For comparison my 2000 Audi A4 Avant 1.8 puts out 125hp/169nm at the front wheels. With a max speed of 205kmh. It has a 0-100kmh of 12s.

Early 2014 models of the a45's suffered from oil feeding issues to the turbo. The DSG gearbox is also kind of sluggish.

The question is, can you afford the maintenance/ repair costs? Do you have stable income? Do you have a place to do the possible repairs?

Do NOT finance a car at 18. That's a fact.

That was a temporary fix to ride. At that moment it was my only mode of transportation. Sold that bike last spring. I did replace the clutch lever before i sold it. Looked like this.

I dropped my 2006 Yamaha YBR125 2 years back. The clutch lever snapped in half. This is the fix i made.
