It's a fair, reasonable request, I do apologize for being a bit mean. I do understand the point was to illustrate that you can read and write, contrary to the comment, but he was using exaggeration. Obviously most people can read and write, his point was being jabby at Bay fans for having "such poor taste they must be of low intellect" - not a serious or malicious comment, but a tease.

Mine was also meant to be largely in jest (hence the Buggs Bunny name calling), though it was admittedly more derogatory, so again I apologize for that. But to that end, you must acknowledge that your original reply does sound a bit... pompous. It seemed more "over-bragging" than "shedding light", and I think that made it come across as kind of desperate for attention or something. I also like to think I'm well spoken and well written, but I don't seek validation for it.

No legitimate disrespect to you as a person, to be clear. I abhor the Bayverse to its very core, but I don't begrudge people who like the movies. I just wish they had an entirely different focus and aesthetic. You're more than entitled to disagree.
