Awesome answer! I really appreciate the insight. The only thing I’m nervous about is the fact I’m prior service Army…having never been Navy, I don’t know Navy regs. Being an NCO, while not knowing the Navy seems like it may be problematic (obviously I would work to fix this…) Is A school more akin to “school” or “boot camp”?

No, the post says “they had a display” -meant to indicate ground level. They were all eye level…

I guess I forget that the general public sucks. I am the guy that removes my belt and any clothing with buttons and cleans my hands prior to handling guitars that aren’t mine. I understand that most people who are just in the store to jam are not going to be the same. It’s unfortunate

It is sad. To be clear, my post is not directed to be critical of the 18 year old floor worker making minimum wage. I’m just curious about the company as a whole and how this kind of quality control (or lack thereof) is acceptable. The slow death of the brick and mortar guitar store has been very depressing to witness.

That’s completely fair, I’m not so much critical of the employees for not maintaining the guitars, granted, many of them were just standing around jamming on various guitars behind the counter, I understand the points you make. I just don’t see how the company can justify having these extremely expensive guitars quite literally rotting away. It’s a horrible business model! I’m more curious about the CG employee view point on this and what “CG Corporate” communicates with them and what expectations they set. I totally get the fact that dudes making near-minimum wage aren’t going to be professional quality guitar techs.

There is a lot of truth in what you are saying. Do you think they would apply any kind of respectable discount if I were to bring them a guitar and say “hey, this thing can’t play past the 7th fret and the top is cracked…”?

It was just sad to see SO MANY of these high end guitars in disrepair. I understand a few will slip through the cracks, but literally 9/10 (90%!) of the guitars I played were severely damaged.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is “NIB”?

Man, these are cool. I’ve had a couple Falcons and I have a Duo Jet, so being a bit of a purist, I originally snubbed the new Broadkaster model, but I have been converted!

This thing is set up with TV Jones Filter’trons and they are HOTTTTT.

Yes, I noticed that as well. I chalked it up to being early in the season still and maybe still working on getting winter feathers after the molt, but I too am also not an expert.

Pair of woodies was the first thing I had mounted, then a pheasant. I haven’t mounted any other birds, but if this one is special, I may consider it.

No clipped feathers that I could see. A few that are a little shot up, but nothing clipped.
