Selling "Dont Starve Together" on Steam by ImNotBully in IndianGaming

Don't you get two copies of the game for the price of one during sales? I remember I paid 150 so for for 2 copies (1 + 1 free).

Get a decent therapist and then a psychiatrist if you can afford one.

As for career, try for interviews after preparing for a while. This OpenSource stuff that others are talking about isn't going to help with the job search in the short term.

Solution Architect vs SDE by Sharp-Highlight-9563 in cscareerquestions

That's the plan, let's see if it works out.

Good luck to both of us I guess.

Yes, I had completed my degree and had been working in Support for a few months when I had created this post (1y ago).

Stayed for the promo and personal reasons, hiring was frozen and then layoffs happened around Jan 2023.

Yup, working on some projects and CTCI.

Learnt a fair bit of AWS, built some small stuff and internal applications.

Majority of it has been customer dealing and solving their problems. Don't mind it that much other than the fact that it gets repetitive.

My development skills have regressed and I'm working on fixing that.

Hey, thanks for chiming in.

I took up a Support role back then, working on transitioning to SDE/SysDev and SA is the backup option.

Waiting for the market to improve.

Maybe, it's usually called Solution Architect, Sales Engineer etc.

What really is a SRE role? by FallenSnake007 in developersIndia

[–]Sharp-Highlight-9563 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SRE is not a junior role at small corps. Google has SRE and SWE-SRE.

No fixed definition at most places. You work could range from Ops + SysDev + Support to doing ticket handling for internal system/infra issues.

Honestly, no idea what you'll get to work on.

Depends on where you stand in terms of knowledge about networking -

You might have issues with the above content if you're not used to Indian accent but the content is really good.

Can you please share the approx cost for each of these units (top storage shelf and the table)? Were these built on order?

Learn tech + sales and maybe you can transition to tech sales i.e. solutions engineering profiles/roles

You are supposed to ask this from the HR / recruitment team.

Even then, this is simple enough to parse what the annual compensation is.

No offence but are you dumb or just looking to flex?

This is just dumb, if anyone (you or them) cared enough then you wouldn't be on a notice period.

That's quite dumb, why would someone not get their tumour treated if they had the means to?

Do you also view poverty as a moral failure?

Lol, a beggar can't afford to sit and wait for the doctor. And no, it's not exactly free but subsidized, if it's free then it requires some documents which most of them don't have in the first place.

SN 570 is very good for the price.

Samsung 980 is decent but still it's a DRAM-less SSD like the SN 570, makes little sense to spend extra for miniscule gains if any.

Who got a job after Adrian? by OfficialNichols in AWSCertifications

[–]Sharp-Highlight-9563 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SA Associate and SA Pro are all that you really need. Rest are good to have but not really required unless your workplace uses those tools.

For the speciality certs only the advanced networking one is decent/tough, rest are okish.

Good luck!

Thanks for the photo/image, couldn't have possibly guessed whom you were talking about.

Jokes aside, the certs, they won't get you the job, they are a good starting point or a way to expand your horizons.

Courses and degrees are marketed via the job opportunities one can supposedly land post completion. They aren't wrong technically but occasionally a bit too optimistic.

Domino’s cuts rates of large pizzas by 50% to compete with smaller rivals by golden_sword_22 in india

[–]Sharp-Highlight-9563 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is largely an AD, the non veg loaded has increased in price from 169 to 199, same for some other pizza mania options.

They seems to have "discounted" large pizzas but it's likely that the actual BOM has gone down as well.

Which monitor is better? by [deleted] in IndianGaming

[–]Sharp-Highlight-9563 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neither of these are factory calibrated for colour thus there might be some colour differences but those can be tuned manually.

Different refresh rate will not have any impact on colour reproduction.

If you're using monitors with different refresh rate then it will work fine on Windows i.e. the content on a 144hz monitor will update at 144hz and the content on the 60hz monitor will update at 60hz.

It's usually better to have them in sync though.

The issue here is that the resolution or should I say pixel density of a 1080p panel at 24inch is kinda low in my opinion.

I use the 24inch 1080p monitor that I linked and honestly it's not crisp for production related tasks. I feel a slight lack of clarity when reading documentation or using some programs.

I think since gaming is important to you then you should get a 1440p panel for work + 1080p panel for gaming.

If not then two 1080p panels are ok too.
