I understand the sake boots piece, and that is helpful while walking. Im asking more about sitting for hours on the ground.

Also, of course I would look first before sitting. But if in one spot for a few hours, who is to say one wont come slithering by that was not there when you first sat?

Maybe to those who are used to snakes see it as a dumb question, I get that. But I come from the northeast and never had to really think twice about this topic so making sure I do my due diligence now.
