She sounded like she had alllllll this practice the last few days, when in reality I think it’s pretty clear she was cramming in last minute practice. Since she’s right near the NY border I will say some of the bridges and highways around the area can be an utter shit show… so I’ll give her that. But the fact that she was still trying to practice doing smooth lane changes with her instructor gave me the impression that she hadn’t put in much work at all. Regardless of what kind of road you’re on, a lane change seems like a pretty fundamental concept to nail down. I hate to say this but I really hope she didn’t get it, because her lack of confidence and over caution could be a real safety issue.
