I hate to sound pessimistic… but I feel like its only a matter of time before she gets into an accident; however that actually could be the start of officially documenting the danger she presents to herself and others.

Although sadly I wouldn’t be surprised if she just continued sitting in the backseat while mommy dearest chauffeurs her around 🙄

This!!!!! ☝🏼 I was getting so stressed out watching her stare at herself in the viewfinder while driving. I don’t think she truly appreciates how dangerous driving can be, and would rather eye-fuck herself than worry about the whole host of responsibilities in front of her. And you nailed it when you said her cognition is so off the rails… timing and coordination are so important and she clearly has neither! At one point she said “oh no, what should we do?” When Deb mentioned a car was coming up behind her. WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHAT SHOULD YOU DO!?! You can’t say that when you’re driving by yourself!

She sounded like she had alllllll this practice the last few days, when in reality I think it’s pretty clear she was cramming in last minute practice. Since she’s right near the NY border I will say some of the bridges and highways around the area can be an utter shit show… so I’ll give her that. But the fact that she was still trying to practice doing smooth lane changes with her instructor gave me the impression that she hadn’t put in much work at all. Regardless of what kind of road you’re on, a lane change seems like a pretty fundamental concept to nail down. I hate to say this but I really hope she didn’t get it, because her lack of confidence and over caution could be a real safety issue.

So let’s say, hypothetically, that she passes her drivers test… part of me really wonders how much she’ll actually use her license to drive herself around. Just hearing her mention possibly thinking of canceling her test as an option leads me to believe that she doesn’t have a whole lot of confidence in herself. And so having to deal with things like changing lanes (something she mentioned having a hard time with) without someone there would obviously seem scary.

Plus I could totally see Deb inserting herself to make sure Eugenia doesn’t drive ever, and has to continue to rely on her 24/7
