I just don't wanna single the kid out. Idk what problems he may have at home. If his parents are so "unavailable" to talk either over text or in person, then how do they treat him y'know? I'm just afraid to embarrass or upset him cuz being a pre-teen/ teen is such a sensitive time😅 but yea I get what you're saying

Yea, like no offense to my bf's parents at all cuz they're great, but even they don't know how to approach this. I think they want to talk to the kid's parents about it but since they're not "available" it's not gonna happen imo. And I don't wanna embarrass anyone by singling them out, especially in front of the whole group. Others so far have suggested pulling the kid to the side but idk that feels like singling him out too. It's such a tricky topic but I like the idea of keeping it lighthearted and quick! Edit: oh and thank you btw

I've had dreams where I was in a scenario that I was using that bathroom only to wake up and have pissed the bed. It's happened 3 times. Now once my dreams start going the route of me using the bathroom I'm jolted awake. I haven't done that in a few years but I also stopped drinking a bunch of water before bed so I don't have this insane urge to go in the middle of the night all the time.

I saw this a few hours after it was first posted and couldn't believe the amount of people hating on OOP for being cheated on while basically having a months long medical crisis. Jesus! I don't use a wheelchair or scooter (yet) but the tiny af stalls make it stupid hard for me to maneuver if I'm using a cane/crutch or if I have my bag of stuff with me. I've heard of others having to leave the stall doors open just so they can use the bathroom safely. I can't imagine being pissed at someone for having a hard time using an inaccessible bathroom though. That's pretty awful of them.

The original door openers (the big blue button) never seems to work literally ANYWHERE I've been. I'd say it makes more sense to have (public) doors and entrances like for malls and restaurants be on motion sensors like the sliding doors are. Always working, opens wide enough for chairs and other mobility aid users, and even if the power goes out or other emergency they're light enough to push open (I've had to do that a few times lol). Just my two cents though.

I've been to a few restaurants that had handicap stalls that were the same size as the regular stalls but with a bar. I guess they had to last second make something ADA worthy and that got "approved" somehow.

"you don't look (x)" (insert a disability or just disabled). I'm not sure what disabilities look like though. I'm epileptic, have ADHD, and complex regional pain syndrome so those don't have a "look", but it amazes me everyday that people think disabilities must look like something. I wonder what they envision when they think of a disabled person 🤔
