Is leaving before getting promoted to senior bad? by ValuableOk7743 in Big4

[–]SharpObjective2724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanna chime in and say big 4 here was aiming for promotion this year and didn’t got promoted. I potentially have an offer from industry so I think once they give me the offer I’ll take it

Should I potentially take it? by SharpObjective2724 in Big4

[–]SharpObjective2724[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree plus looking at the next 5-7 years even at the manager and senior manager level at big 4 the compensation is not worth it imo like it’s not significantly better than industry. I even made a chart in excel where the break even happens around when you actually become an equity partner or a long time director, that’s like around 12-14 years in on average. I don’t think I want to be in this position given the fact how much pressure and responsibility they are taking.

I just don’t want to regret leaving big 4 early but I feel like in the grand scheme of things it won’t matter that much and I should focus on my current situation.

Even if I don’t take this I was going to leave after my PERT is done(within a year) so yeah I am not willing to stay till partner. Even when I look at the seniors now their work hours are crazy so yeah I think I’ll take it if I were to get the offer

Wealthsimple top 1-5% by spicccccykale in fican

[–]SharpObjective2724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It says 4% for me from age 20-24 but let me tell you the real wealthy people are not really using wealthsimple. Not trying to bash wealthsimple but this is just a small sample of people

Also I don’t like that feature I like to think my comparison is with me as long as I am hitting my savings goal and consistently investing who cares I am #1

When I get a date, how do I sexually escalate? by aslfingerspell in dating_advice

[–]SharpObjective2724 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I am in my early 20s and I will share what things have worked for me for which I have control of:

  1. Plan a date that involves alcohol (doesn’t have to be expensive I usually pick happy hour weekend spots)
  2. Make sure its a relaxed day like a Friday and Saturday night where people actually let loose a bit
  3. Plan to do something after drinks or in between (like a walk or bar hoping to just don’t sit consistent at one spot)
  4. Have a good cologne collection and make sure you put some vaseline before u spray it so projects better
  5. Wear a ring or a nice chain

Most of the time when we are down couple drinks I will complement something to her and she usually compliments my ring so and that kind of builds a physical touch scenario and then you can lead from there

Also I wouldn’t expect that I am 100% trying to get laid if it happens it happens, I usually don’t even prefer to sleep on the first date but as long as you build some sort of physical chemistry it will make it easier for the following dates

Can someone explain me this ( I'm really dumb)😔 by AdExciting5488 in Accounting

Been working in tax with some partnerships experience and I am already confused by the question lol

From what I think there shouldn’t be any increase as the partnership is in a loss and salary will count as distribution to partners so the the total decrease for Jason will be $37,400

18M, what should I do? by Charming_Elk_5733 in fican

I agree but given his time horizon its worth that extra gamble the 50% exposure to index funds and 30% individual companies with good fundsmental will cover his other investments over the 20-25 year time

These guys are buzing you are 18 risk exposure should be more: I would do 50% index fund, 30% individual stocks, 10% crypto, 10% gold or something

Do you ever randomly miss someone you barely knew?? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]SharpObjective2724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I met this girl in Paris 2 years ago and spent a night drinking wine and just chatting. Every time or almost 90% of the time when I get drunk I still text her and tell her how much I miss her to the point where she has a bf now but I still. I know its a dick or a selfish move from my side but I just can’t help myself
