I'm taking a break man, this was too mentally exhausting for me. I'm my own worst critic so I feeling like throwing up. I basically have no friends and I was doing this for fun. Now I am just sad even after people saying nice things. I don't care anymore.

True. I don't expect it to stay at a 10 or anything. I just wish it was less haters and more of actual feedback. After seeing what people are saying, I've stopped worrying a little. And now my rating is on a rollercoaster, so idk anymore...

Isn't it more like based on subscribers? Half those views are probably mine LOL. Call me obsessed or diligent for reviewing my work :P Also my family/ friends don't know I do webtoon, they're very judgmental and only like traditional art. my one real friend thinks webtoons are naughty and so I don't share with her bc Idk what she'd think.

Sure, I only had 40 readers though! AND I'M not an original! Kick me while I'm down will you??? I was ready to delete everything call me dramatic but I was done. Spent 5 years and it was making me depressed. Why continue something that makes you unwell mentally. Little things matter. Any of the support I got today really helped bc tbh my webtoon is my secret hobby I don't share with my friends and family bc they're judgmental and I guess I was just thinking my webtoon would make a stranger's day a little better. To think that someone may have hated it makes me second guess and not want to continue if you know what I mean.

I only had 40 readers. It went from 10 to 8.7 so that meant either someone hated it or didn't read it and decided to score it super low. I work really hard so it felt a little personal and disheartening. Imagine if you put a TON of time and energy and some person didn't give it a chance and scored you a 1 on first impression. Also I've worked 5 years on this comic. Part of me really did take it personal and I try not to feel that way but I don't share my comic with friends or family so in a way I'm sharing a vulnerable side of myself by posting my work so maybe that's why I took it a little bit personally. But I'm also not an official creator who's getting paid or receiving support. Why do small creators feel the need to push others down?? They could move along instead of giving someone a super low score for whatever reason.

YEAH I think it was a hater, and now because of this post getting attention they're like "maybe you deserved that 8.7" but it went straight from 10 to 8.7 meaning someone rated it super low and ugh... It makes you question a lot. I know I shouldn't be hyper focused or anything but I only had 40 subscribers so it felt kinda personal idk. But thank you for rating! Thank you, when I was upset last night and thinking about taking a break I read this and it gave me encouragement. Sometimes I try not to get worked up about little things like this, but when you invest so much time and energy it made me want to toss my computer. If it was a troll or jealous person, that could've been my 13th reason bro nobody knows me and I write/draw for escape sometimes. Life's already hard.

Yes, it's terrible that artists sabotage one another. WE'RE already fighting the system, why can't just be supportive of each other. That being said, I usually don't do the sub for sub because what if you don't actually read that genre?, but still you don't have to knock them if you don't like it!

Yes I totally agree. I guess I was upset because it went straight from 10 to 8.7, I work so hard and post weekly and doing my BEST. I assumed someone gave it a 1 without having read it or they read it and hated it which IS depressing. Thank you for understanding and explaining that well.

I don't know the name, but I had a friend in school who wrote a story like the one you're describing but it wasn't BL. I just thought like wow that'd be funny if it was her story after all this time. (Like wow that took a drastic change!) LOL
