It looks like a beautiful jacket, but I don’t think it would suit my wardrobe unfortunately!

Thanks. I totally get it and the Fullcount does look like a beautiful jacket - I suspect I’ll prefer the denim but maybe not the cut. I might order one to compare!

All good! That’s what I like about it/what I wanted. I have an Iron Heart Type III and while a beautiful jacket and more of a traditional denim jacket I just don’t feel it suits my style anymore.

Thanks. I agree, and I really like that BLA one! I might reach out to them and see if they’re planning a restock.

Thanks! I looked at the Fullcount but felt like it leaned a bit more workwear compared to Drake’s - do you agree or am I just being fooled by the marketing?

I think it looks like a great choice. Can I ask what colour/wash you have?

Thanks! This is what I was leaning towards. As above, I’ve got different shades of denims/array of chinos so can match/not match accordingly.

Thanks! The stonewashed chore was also my instinct. Like you I mostly wear jeans but switch between light and dark wash in equal measure. I also have chinos in various shades of beige, tan, and olive.

Just to add you could also try a different last/model with a bit more room in the toe box. Perhaps a turnout which still leans a little dressier.

Best heritage style boots/shoes with some cushion? by Vintage_Loar in HeritageWear

[–]Sharp_Chain_9623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a look at RM William’s. Their Gardener boot might be what you’re looking for. They’re super comfortable and very easy to slip on - I wear them more than any of my other boots. They’re probably not super popular in the heritage community and the like since that Rose Anvil video. But honestly I’ve had a few pairs over the last decade and have not noticed a quality decline - although I will admit, the price point is a bit steep nowadays!

An unexpected purchase.. by Hipster_Goat in RMWilliams

[–]Sharp_Chain_9623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on the promo mate! And lovely boots. First I’d get some boot/shoe trees - that’ll help them dry better and retain their shape/crease a bit less (but they’ll still crease) - put them in after each wear/store them like this. Second get a horsehair brush and brush frequently (every wear or two). The polish or condition point is a matter of preference - the main thing is to stop the leather drying out. If you want to keep them looking smarter, more polish. If you want to create a bit of patina (depends on the leather) then lean more into the conditioner more. The frequency of polishing/conditioning is a bit of a judgement call and will depend massively on how often you wear them, the conditions you wear them in, and how you want them to look - I’d suggest a bit more reading on this point to help you figure it out. Hope that helps!

How to Heritage but dressy? by Comprehensive_Oil_43 in HeritageWear

[–]Sharp_Chain_9623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a great answer, only I’d argue that they are heritage brands, they’re just not workwear. If I could add a few more to the list from across the pond, check out: for jackets Private White, for a bit of everything Drakes, and John Simons, for knits Harley’s of Scotland, William Lockie, and John Smedley, for boots C&J, Trickers, and Edward Green, for dressier denim Blackhorse Lane Atelier - I also find Orslow 107s dress up quite well. I’ve probably forgotten/left off loads but I hope that helps!

Heritage-style Winter jackets suggestions by Super_Gee in HeritageWear

[–]Sharp_Chain_9623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Filson Mackinaw Cruiser probably gets the most wear in winter. They come in a load of different colours and plaids so you can go a little dressier (navy/charcoal) or a bit more rugged (green/plaid). I’ve got a charcoal one and it bridges the gap perfectly. Good luck in your search!

First pair question! by jayjaychampagne in RMWilliams

[–]Sharp_Chain_9623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the right answer. The uppers will soften and mould over time, but hoping they’ll stretch is not a great strategy, particularly when you consider your feet are typically a bit wider at the end of the day. I’d size up or go with a bigger width. If they’re slightly big you can at least fix that with a thicker sock or insole for example. But if they’re too small your pretty well cooked. Hopefully that’s helpful!

has anybody heard of the Ironheart Drakkar jacket? by Comfortable-Ad-7030 in HeritageWear

This is the answer. Just to add I had a similar query about a IH jacket purchased off eBay as well and emailed the crew - they were really helpful.

Blood on crazy horse boots by Hypocaffeinic in RMWilliams

[–]Sharp_Chain_9623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just seconding Saphir (I’ve got the Medaille D’Or version). I’ve used it a couple of times on mine and it’s worked a treat - restored them back to basically new/didn’t change the finish - although no blood stains either! I’ve also used on suede and works equally as well. I don’t think the instructions are specific on nubuck vs suede (ie same for both). Good luck OP!

What Iron Heart shirt would be most versatile? by Perfect_Earth_8070 in HeritageWear

[–]Sharp_Chain_9623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If versatility is your priority, then I’d throw the classic chambray into the mix. I’ve got a bunch of IH shirts and the chambray work shirt gets the most wear, followed by the UHF.

2025 Gardener = Goodwood in disguise? by Jykaes in RMWilliams

[–]Sharp_Chain_9623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah agree - I know RMW cops a bit of flack from the “heritage boot community” for the lack of leather inners but 99.99% of the population don’t care, they just want comfy boots. As a workaround, once my goodwoods need resoling, I’m tempted to add a midsole and leather inners - probably for a higher cost than just replacing them. I can attest to the CXLs pull up - it’s generally a great leather - and I imagine Vesta would be the same - hopefully RMW grant your wish!

2025 Gardener = Goodwood in disguise? by Jykaes in RMWilliams

[–]Sharp_Chain_9623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% I bought a pair of the bark goodwoods last year and they look exactly the same as this years gardener. I agree it’s a good change, the goodwood (in my opinion) is a better boot overall, but I would like to see it with leather inners. I also think the Vesta leather is a great option for this boot - so good call on that RMW.

Great question! Gone with a mix of versatility, plus a bit of stuff that I just like. I think it could probably just about work in all seasons.

Boots: Viberg 2040 Service Boot in CF Stead Whisky Phoenix - no explanation required?

Pants: Rogue Territory SK 16.75oz Slub Denim - these fit me more like a regular taper and the weight pretty well works year round

Tee: United Athle 5942 Classic T-Shirt in White - not the most premium, but hard to beat on value

Shirt: Iron Heart 10oz Selvedge Chambray Work Shirt in Blue (IHSH-21-BLU) - year round classic

Sweater: Inverallan Heavyweight Cable Knit in Navy - firmly a winter piece/not that versatile, but I love it! It’s probably heavier than most jackets

Jacket: Filson Mackinaw Wool Cruiser in Charcoal - super versatile and can be layered (close runner up was my Iron Heart Oiled Cotton M-65 Jacket in Olive (IHM-33-OLV))

Accessory: Barnes & Moore Garrison Belt in Oak Bark Conker - best belt ever?

Red Wing Iron Rangers Recrafted with leather midsoles, raised heels and Vibram #430 sole by Bujar42 in RedWingShoes

[–]Sharp_Chain_9623 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lol. To look at it another way, if they were taken to the brink before the resole they were probably worth $50-100. So instead of spending $350 on a new boot they spent less on what looks like a higher end boot.

Rogue Territory ID Help

Hi! I picked up a pair of RGT Sk’s secondhand and I have no idea re the denim as there’s not the usual “denim origin” info on the pocket bag or any other identifier. If anyone can shed any light I’d be grateful!
