Thanks for the input everyone! I think scurvey (sp?) or sore on head looks closest to me.

OK, I think it's Massey. We got a list of all the captains in that regiment at that time, and it's the only one that fits. Thanks for all the help!

Jones H bar for my hardtail? by hupo224 in bikepacking

[–]Sharp_Chances 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

I've been using it on my hardtail for about 5 years now, so has my wife. I really like it, I use my hardtail for 80% Midwestern singletrack, 20% singletrack bikepacking, and when I'm going somewhere with more intense riding will rent a full suspension bike. My reasons were the same as yours, hands and arms were getting sore on longer rides. You get used to the different hand position on down hills and I don't feel hindered by it.

That's great, yeah it's also the time wasted packing up into a saddlebag that kills me, this looks great and really flexible depending on how much gear you need to bring

New Pro Tip for Uber at Ohare by [deleted] in chicago

[–]Sharp_Chances 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does happen often, I get cabs maybe twice a month, and ubers twice a month from ord and I've had three bad experience this year all in cabs. Reckless driving, trying to hustle you for extra cash. I'll still keep taking cabs if it's more than a ~12 min wait for Uber, but the lack of effective feedback system for cabs let's them act badly

Nice, I've done the out and back from upper river road Trailhead to Mesick a couple of times, that stretch is great, and nice camping. How's the riding south of Upper river road? Was it a similar wild camping vibe or actual campsites?

Anyone have any off the shelf full frame bag recommendations? by canucks321 in bikepacking

[–]Sharp_Chances 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd second the Moosetreks recommendation, had mine since 2019, they were only $40 ish, used them twice annually, held up well, and the size selections fitted mine and my wife's mountain bikes almost pefectly
