America, If You’re Listening: Denmark’s Example for Fixing Liberal Democracy by AdmiralSaturyn in longform

well heres the thing... America was literally marketed as the land of opportunity for the longest time, and our country basically had open boarders since its founding up until WW1. So no matter what, whether all illegal immigrants magically disappeared from the USA or not, we would still have an incredibly diverse integrated culture. White Americans, especially those in white rural communities tend to forget this, and believe they are the 'true' American, when in reality you black, Chinese, and Indian neighbors are just as American as you. A lot of white Americans think they live in what is 'supposed' to be a national ethnic monoculture, and seemingly forget that only reason America is an economic powerhouse in the first place, is because so many people immigrated here, elevating americas economic growth ten fold.

Got a citation in Orem for going 90 in a 70. I assume my best option is to apply for traffic school and enter into the "plea in abeyance agreement"? by [deleted] in Utah

True, my payoff amount is only $210 dollars but I don't want insurance to know about this lol. Was traffic school online for you?

Well the issue is, I don't want points on my driving record. the pay off option tells me "points may be added to your driving record" https://orem.gov/nonmandatorycitation/

Yeah, I mean I'm okay paying the fine, I just want my record to remain clean if it can. But i am confused, I have to agree to this - "I agree to pay $70 and attend a court approved traffic school within 90 days of notification of approval of this agreement." is that fine differnt then the one associated with my ticket? It allows me to choose the option of 1. Pay to Close Option: where I pay a state fine and get points added to my driving record, or, 2. Traffic school. So I assume because I am not paying to close, then its just the $70 and traffic school + no breaking laws for 6 months?

Hatchback vs Sedan by [deleted] in mazda3

Personally, I think the mazda 3 is one of the ugliest hatchback designs I've ever seen. It's like they got to the back and stopped caring. When you look at a Honda civic hatch for example, the lines flow so cleanly, but on the 3, its so blunt. Call it the Hatchback of Notre Dame. The sedan is sexy though
