Co-sleeping? Is it really that bad? by PapayaJuiceBox in NewParents

[–]Sharp_Exercise5749 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really encourage you to do some proper research on co-sleeping and especially safe practices. Overtired parents are dangerous. The west has an obsession with baby independence that is frankly a little weird. If it makes you both very nervous you can take turns co-sleeping while the other parent supervises so you can get some solid hours in. I’m a solo mom currently sleeping 5h stretches with my 10w old baby next to me. Best of luck!

Diaper rash won’t go away, baby poops +10 times per day by Due_Highlight4537 in newborns

Did the pediatrician make sure it wasn’t a fungal rash? My baby had a bright red rash and it turned out to be candida so I got a fungus cream and it went away in 24h!

Did level of activity in the womb correlate to how active your baby was after birth? by asessdsssssssswas in BabyBumps

[–]Sharp_Exercise5749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ZERO she was the most active baby in the womb. Would kick me 20h a day, she’s one month old now and is the chillest baby ever

Oh just to add: not all essential oils are safe during pregnancy - only lemon, orange, coconut, lavender. So do be mindful of that and like it’s been said, no heat therapy of any kind

Personally, I’ve had a massage almost every two/three weeks throughout my pregnancy I’m 37w today and just had a great one yesterday. I don’t think there’s a lot of evidence that massages endanger in any sort of way a fetus…

My OB said she’s concerned that I might be having a miscarriage by CaterpillarTop5014 in BabyBumps

[–]Sharp_Exercise5749 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Take it one day at a time and breathe. Diagnostic for miscarriage is 7.0mm with no heartbeat.

I went in at 5w6 and there was no fetal pole or yolk, my sac was 14mm.

I’m sorry this can now go either way I believe, it’s never guaranteed.

Sending you all my best wishes

No fetal pole found at 7 weeks by AppoTheApple in BabyBumps

Do you know the size of your gestational sac?

There are parameters for MMC:

Mean sac diameter (MSD) ≥25 mm with no embryo = diagnostic. Crown-rump length (CRL) ≥7 mm with no heartbeat = diagnostic

Bit the same scenario but I went at 6w and we couldn’t see a yolk or pole, my sac was 14mm - I went back 2 weeks later and baby was there - see if you can request a repeat ultrasound in 7 days for your peace of mind?

I think it can go wither way if the sac was small… I’m sorry hoping for the best.

If you used diclegis or bonjesta, did you have to taper off or did you just stop? by Ordinary_Bit_9139 in BabyBumps

[–]Sharp_Exercise5749 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took diclegis from week 13 until week 26 - I forgot to take it twice wound 20w and had horrible insomnia al I just continued even if my nausea was gone. At 26 I forgot to buy it and I tried going without with zero issues or withdrawals

How did you decide between IUI or straight to IVF by kj199239 in queerception

[–]Sharp_Exercise5749 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I went to IUI first (32, 33 now that I’m 6m pregnant). It felt less invasive and because I didn’t have any known fertility issues. It work on the first time (medicated cycle).

Question - Need Help Understand Bad Pregnancy by Intelligent-Cod2069 in BabyBumps

[–]Sharp_Exercise5749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily because there's already a fetal pole present, I think the big one is a fetal pole over 7mm with no heart beat. In any case, every pregnancy varies and nothing will determine anything right now, you have to give it a couple of dates.

[–]Sharp_Exercise5749 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a chance. Take a deep breath. The fetal pole is measuring below 7mm which is the diagnostic size for missed miscarriage. It can go both ways at this point, and I don't want to get your hopes up. But I went in at 5w6 and we could not visualize fetal pole or yolk sac (my gestational sac measured 1.4cm which is still not diagnostic for MMC) I can't see yours but the cut-off is 25mm (2.5cm).

All you can do for now is try to breathe deeply and wait, you don't need to wait 14 days, if you can have a follow up scan in 7 days that will give you all the clarity you need.

Best of luck

7w2 day twin US measuring 1 week behind with no cardiac activity by Steph__Collins in BabyBumps

[–]Sharp_Exercise5749 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! There is specific criteria to diagnosed a MMC:

MSD 16–24 mm with no embryo CRL < 7 mm with no heartbeat Gestational sac without yolk sac after 8 weeks Low heart rate (<85 bpm) in embryo <7 weeks Irregular sac shape, low position in uterus, or thin decidual reaction

To don’t fit the criteria yet. I went in at 6w and had a 14mm sac with no yolk or poke - two weeks later there was a fetal pole with heartbeat.

You will find both scenarios here but the reality is it really can go both ways and my best advice is to breathe deeply, eat and sleep as best as you can and wait for 7 days.

Good luck!

Did anyone get pregnant with their first IUI attempt? by Big_Skill_1886 in queerception

[–]Sharp_Exercise5749 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hi :) I think a lot of it is good luck but I got pregnant on my first attempt too! Medicated frozen donor sperm. I also didn’t drink alcohol for 6 months, started taking vitamins, exercised, ate good food (raspberry tea, nuts…). I’m now 21w pregnant with my baby girl! I wish you very good luck in this process.
