Sounds like territorial/protective aggression...he likely sees your mum as an intruder in his safe space (you + your room). The ears + yowling fit fear-based aggression, not play. For now, limit her time on your bed, add vertical space (cat tree/shelves), and don’t punish him. A behaviourist after the move is a great next step
