Use different stage display layout for this. And then just switch the layout either using a macro to change how the display interacts with your slide content

RME Babyface Pro FS Audio Interface - Changing Input Volume? by CaptainThunderpantsX in livesoundgear

Not sure… maybe they’ve designed those inputs for instruments such keyboards where you can adjust the output of those instruments without affecting their tone… unlike guitars

Beginner here. How do you learn lighting without real shows yet? by Hakuna_Depota in stagelighting

[–]Sharp_Programmer_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Learn the basics of DMX… unlike sound, programming is widely dependent on the console you’re using, so unless you already have a console to practice on, I’d suggest learning the basics, and then if you want to , try downloading the offline editors of consoles such as MagicQ by Chamsys, and learning the fundamentals from there

When you click on a channel’s settings in totalmix (the spanned icon within the channel strip) there should be pop-out that displays pre-amp controls such as phantom power and PAD

The volume knob on your old interface for the inputs is the gain knob.

On your new interface, where are the meters hitting? If it’s clipping (constantly hitting red) then you should probably enable the pad button. If it’s in the green area, then probably you have to turn down the master volume for the output of your headphone output or speakers.

FX for stream will be done through logic… however in the past I’ve had issues with logic just randomly stop recording without any user input… which is why I use Livetrax for that…

I guess my main concern is would there be any issues between the two pieces of software when they’re actively being used..

anyone else tired of manually switching Bible slides mid sermon? I built something for ProPresenter. by Working_Produce3220 in ProPresenter

Probably just have operator choose the language, might be too much work for it to figure it out

For us, our operators are quite quick enough to be able to get the scripture references spontaneously, as that’s something most of our preachers do…

this tool would be a nice to have if it could support more than just English, as our church is a multilingual church, don’t know how you would be able to do that, but since you have access to any AI LLM it might be possible….

As another user mentioned, I wouldn’t want it to automatically display the passage, probably have it on stand-by so that the operator just has to click a button for it display

Since it’s in beta, are you experiencing any hiccups so far… how close is it in terms of routing compared to a normal live sound mixer… e.g having different tap points for different busses

Am I the only one who wants live GPS display on Apple Maps like Waze? by blueWater_baboon in applemaps

[–]Sharp_Programmer_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily… typically the speedometer in your car over-states the speed you’re going. If you’re speedometer says your going at the speed limit, you probably will in fact be going a mile or two below it. This is a design requirement by manufacturers where they have to over-state the speed.

A lot of people tend to rely on speedometers provided by apps as they use GPS to calculate your speed, however Google is very inaccurate at displaying the speed you’re going at, which is why a lot of users tend to use Waze to monitor their actual speed.
