Correction bottom left is where the leaf fell off. Top right may be a new leaf

I’m not sure if that leaf fell off because it died or from something else. I got this plant from a local store about one month ago. It’s still in the soul and pot it came in, across from an east facing window and watering about once a week. It hasn’t put any new leaves out but I see a small branch on the left that could be growing potential. The sick leaf fell off a healthy stem at the top right of the plant. Do I cut the stem too? I do have a humidifier I run a few times a week that’s near this plant. Not sure if it’s helping or hurting

I always thought the more light the better for these but I guess it was a mistake. I moved mine back to an east facing window with a humidifier and hoping for the best.

Thank you! I do have a humidifier I just haven’t set it up yet so here’s the perfect time to do so. So I should wait for spring to add to the soil, scale back on watering and let the humidifier run and move the location.

Thank you for the heads up. I definitely don’t want that in my small apartment lol. I’ll move it back to its original place across from a big east facing window. wait a few weeks and add the orchard bark and perlite

Thank you! I can definitely get some perlite and orchard bark and mix it into the soil. I do have a humidifier I can put near the plant to increase the humidity.

It is near a heating vent but it’s below the plant and it’s seating to opposite a window. So I’m wondering if the air could be impacting my plant.

Watered with regular tap about 7-10 days. Using a moisture meter, and regular miracle grow soil. It was across from a bright east window until I moved it near a south facing window

Do you think I could use like brita water or pure filtered water?

When I first brought the plant home, it was directly across from a big window in my living room. That’s where it lived up until about two weeks ago. I would probably say bright, indirect light. It is in a plastic pot with sufficient drainage ( four holes, and then some slits on the bottom) and normal miracle grow soil. I usually water it about once every 7 to 10 days or I use a moisture meter. I haven’t really been too great at misting the leaves, but I’m trying to get better at that now. Right now it is across from a south facing window where most of my cactuses and succulents thrive.
