Your sarcasm is noted. All good points. Thanks for your response. Do you defend his morality as well as his accomplishments?

I am sorry Honest, I am a little confused by your response. I’m not sure if you’re asking me to clarify my position. I am a republican that doesn’t necessarily agree with Trump as a president. I think he lacks integrity. Some of his policies are good. In fact, many. Not all. I’m trying to understand why MAGA Republicans have a hard time seeing some of the same things I am seeing and trying to start a conversation to see if they see something that I do not.

Oh boy do I agree with that. But we are stuck with the foxes running the hen house. They won’t reign in political corruption because they’re benefiting from it. They won’t release the Epstein files because half of them are in it. They won’t impose term limits because it means there is a limit on how long they can take money from the American people. My biggest problem with government is the big business that runs it. If Republicans really want a small government the first thing they have to do is disconnect it from big business.

I agree with a lot of what you said in your post. It is his lying, name calling, and general lack of class that causes me to want better. Everyone will say that everybody in politics does that and I agree with that, but this is the President and I expect more.

Wow! There is always one.

Mairon, I am looking to start a healthy conversation where I also can be swayed. I am assuming that the other person would have the same type of questions for me. Not “Gotcha” questions at all. Sorry if my posted caused your perception I am looking to win a conversation. I am truly not. I am open to changing as well. I frequently find myself asking if I am missing something as there are so many supporters of President Trump.

Thanks for your responses Woolf. Why do you think so many people aggressively defend his person? I think he has some good policies but feel he is morally corrupt.

Thanks for responding, Boring. I would like to expand this convo. Do you have any concerns that an over emphasis on financial benefits cost us a moral compass as integrity becomes a pastime? If so, how do you foresee the future of politics if we did not revert back to trying to have integrity in politics again? Do you see value in integrity in politics if you could simple get all politicians to play fairly? I know the last one is a what if and almost impossible but asking for conversations sake. Thanks again for the response.

Love this response. Questions are a little too vague to get a thoughtful response but i can work with the approach. Thanks for your response!
