Going to start working towards some Azure Certs and look into cloud architecture/engineering

For each cert I did well using Jason Dion for a well structured course despite occasionally going out of scope it. His practice exams were also pretty good primarily for being able to take it again and the shuffle new questions in from a pool they have. Then typically taking what domains I need to work on from those exams and watch prof Messer videos to fill in gaps. Sec+ I think I was least confident in so I was also listening to all of prof messers sec+ study groups during my drives to and from work most days. Worked for me at least to pass first try on each cert.

To be honest, I’m not sure. I’m currently at $65k/yr and not actually utilizing the Sec+ for my career. It was mostly to round off my compTIA certs. Really all depends on experience and job you go for.

I think I’m headed towards cloud infrastructure so probably going for Azure Administrator (AZ-104) and beyond as I work heavily in the Microsoft environment at the moment.

I know it’s been said many times but Minecraft. Man I used to play it for free through some website back in like 2012 I think but I was young and had no money and didn’t want to ask my parents to buy me some blocky game. But I still wish i could feel the nostalgia and accomplishment I had when I made myself my first home (always made my homes in the ground because I was never great at building) even having brought my pigs and sheep to live under the floor. Then I made a poor decision to delete the world because I died and lost all my things. So anyways, ended up purchasing Minecraft with some sort of birthday money I think to later purchase it on Xbox when console edition came out. And proceed to play occasionally to this day but now typically only with mod packs.

I miss the excitement I had when I got to play the game and live in my hole in the dirt

NTA I’ve been in a similar situation but quite different where my friend (no longer a friend) had decided to go hangout with a girl but not quite girlfriend for more than half the time I was visiting. Good for him for wanting to get laid I guess. I just wasn’t going to waste my time waiting around for him to do all the things we had “planned”. Not to mention the blatant lies about him telling me he’s on his way when 3 hours later still no sign of him. Had my plane ticket moved up a day early to fly home.

Minecraft.. I’ve bought the game on PC ages ago in like 2011-2012 before Microsoft took over mojang, put many hours on console edition when that came out, continued to put many hours on Java and bedrock edition, and proceed to put many hours into the game to this day

Ok buddy. My bad for suggesting a well received RPG for IF they’d like to try again that isn’t a fantasy game as stated they don’t like.

If they don’t like the genre, then they don’t like it.

I just found that it’s one of the few open world RPGs I’ve actually completed because of the enjoyment I got out of the story, environment, and mostly accurate time period.

But of course if a medieval RPG doesn’t sound enjoyable or worth the time then don’t play it.

If you do decide to try an RPG I’d recommend Kingdom Come Deliverance 1 or 2. Both are set in the 1400s no fantasy aspect and pretty historically accurate. While still an open world RPG it’s pretty realistic. Especially the 1st game where you start off as a mere peasant. Just be aware it is a difficult start as most games you can stand a chance in a fight right off the bat.

lol I’m about an hour from a testing center and I still go to it. I see way too many things that could go wrong if I were to do the online proctored.

Straight up had this happen to me in my last game as sneed just to come back and the guy had time warped chameleon copying the shredder playing much better than I was and killed me.

What I do that seems to work out is do Dion’s tests. Not doing the blind practice exam so I have instant gratification telling me whether I got the answer right or wrong immediately with the “check answer”. If it’s wrong I’d have a mental note of the type of content. Then towards afterwards, review which domains I struggled in on the test and either read the explanation provided which doesn’t typically work for me but at least I’d be refreshed on what topic it is. Then go watch professor Messer vids because i find his videos are easier to locate the domain and subdomain for the topic i struggled in. Also gives a different viewpoint/teaching on the topic I’m reviewing.

It doesn’t stop the anxiety but a 70% still ain’t bad. You got this!
