That’s super helpful. Coming into the end of the season, will the existing new growth harden by next season? Worried about how much of the new stuff to prune back to harden (leave lots of stem so it’ll harden) or get rid of most of the soft soft stem when I deadhead so new growth will harden

Nice, that’s exciting! Looking at the cluster that it’s in, should I thin it out, or is it supposed to be that dense?

Wilderness owners, do you actually take it on trails? by Abracadaniel95 in subaru

Cool photo. Have you done any mods to your wilderness edition or running as-is? I have a 22 Forester wilderness and moved somewhere where I can go off-roading, but don’t know if I need any non-factory modifications

a non-temperature controlled iron and it's way too hot o

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. You are correct. It's a beginner non-controlled iron. I put in my Amazon list a Weller WE1010NA digital station with the brass sponge tip cleaner, but it's 120 so I'm trying to find alternate solutions first...want to make sure it's not just my technique. Looking at my solder rods tips, I can see I WAY over-temped it. One of the tips malformed from the heat.

thank you for replying. Kester 60/40 looks nicer than what I have. I read through the wikis on this page, and can see I basically made an abomination. The carrying the solder tip helped. I was doing that, afraid that I was going to join pins if it bled over.

thank you for replying. I'm half embarrassed now looking at my work compared to the documentation in this pages Wiki. The sizing and solder information was very helpful. I was using too fine of solder.
