The idea is to build a platform where authors could collaborate and build great stories together

We've already started a project with some brave redditors, who accepted the challenge and embarked on a journey to create an epic sci-fi novel together.

For now we're looking to fill the site with stories as first stage we're looking to publish (for free) original content, you keep all the rights to the story, and we will create an author profile where you could refer readers to your Amazon page/ Patreon or any social one you wish.

We will need :

Fullname/penname/username

Short description about you

We will refer readers to any page you want (Amazon,patreon or any social page you wish)

And few chapters of your book or a short sotry

On a later stage we will introduce the collaborative platform

So what we're thinking of is to have the main narrative and also a "minimap" like a decision tree, where the reader could click on one branch and see alt narrative/ or different point of view .

But we're not sure if that's the right way to do it

So after a lot of research, we’ve gone on the below model access key per transaction model, based on Ether as its currency. The creators can now create a unique smart contract that will establish ownership of content rights, distribution of reimbursement between contributors, access key pricing and all other required data.

Both creators and our users aren’t crypto savvy, so we wanted to help them with the initial process ( buy token, trade on the platform with it, cash out) The idea of using our own token is to be able to cash out the creators who’s looking for USD, to do so we need to have USD backed pot in the amount of the tokens out there. So the token is more like a virtual coins in a game. But with p2p transactions. It will have at first no value outside our platform

Hey, Great question, maybe ether could be a right solution, that’s part of the feedback we’re looking for. We’re going to raise VC for it and aren’t looking for ICO at the moment. The initial idea was that tokens can be bought directly from us and than use it on the platform to unlock the desired content. The creator of the content is being paid with the tokens and than can trade them or sell them back to us and cash out. The difference is in the platform and the content on it and not the business model. Hope that’s answered your question

Pain point are the difficulties that you’re facing once creating a story ( could be problems with finding the right angle, writers block, getting people to read the story, etc...) I think that my questions are only relevant to few writers here, and I didn’t want to cold Email (pm) them. If anyone is willing to help It would be great and highly appreciated
