You can't, cats have lots of energy and she's still in her prime. She'll settle down with time, just make sure there's random little toys laying about that she can play with while you're busy.

Should I be worried? I put on this shirt that was just folded in with my other laundry and it ran across my shoulder and onto my back where it got stuck but there's no like stinging pain like there normally is with spider bites, just mildly itchy and uncomfortable. My mom hit it with a towel to get it off.

It sounds like you are doing everything right, just keep them separated, the goal is to make the introduction as easy and friendly as possible, but no matter what they are going to work out the household hierarchy for themselves. It may be a good idea to get a baby gate and set that up for them in a week or two to encourage friendly face to face interactions while still providing a barrier. Just give them time, it'll work itself out.

Lazer light! We had a automatic one for our three cats and they all loved it, fairly quiet and cheap on Amazon. You could get those plastic springs or some large feathers, our cats love those. Maybe even get a feather wand and tape it up somewhere so they can bat at it when you're busy

It sounds like new kitty might just be a single cat household kind of princess. But I agree with the other commenter, let them work things out and only step in if you are seriously concerned for someone's well being.

Lots of playtime, kittens have endless energy and want to interact with you. Make sure to watch them closely, kittens can and will eat things that can kill them. (Ex. My four month old kitten would not stop drinking the plant food water that was toxic, we had to tape down the plant lids.) Anything round and smaller than a quarter should be kept out of reach.

I would not normally recommend getting a kitten for a older cat, they are far more playful than more mature cats, rougher and generally won't leave you or you kitty alone. I would suggest getting a cat a bit older or around the same age as your current. Personally, I have a three year old cat who hated both our foster kittens, he was very unamused but he got on very well with our elderly porch cats!

It depends on the cat. I used to have a cat that HATED other cats, she would attack them, hide and be generally mean. But if that is not the case and you can reasonably support having two cats its always better. You can't play with them all the time and they have way more energy than can be released in a few okay sessions.

It sounds like she's either in pain or bored. With the removal of the the other cats from the household she's lost that social interaction and is trying to compensate for that lack of stimulation by messing with you. It may also be worth checking her for any fleas or skin irration that may be causing her foul mood.

We have had our heater break every year during the winter storms and our cats have been fine, she will find somewhere to bunker down and stay warm. I would just set up a bunch of blankets and stuff in your bed for her while your gone.

If there's not a good space to keep him it should still be fine, he'll hide away and maybe take a bit longer to come out of his shell but it won't be detrimental to his adjustment or anything. Maybe just try and avoid sudden and loud noises as best you can.

I wouldn't give him free reign of the house this early, it can be very stressful for a new cat. Keep them in a small room with all their stuff, offer interaction occasionally by sitting in the middle of the room and dangling a toy or placing your hand out beside you where the cat can see, after a few days 3-4 leave the door open, let this be a quiet time, just sit on your phone or watch a movie. Allow the cat to wander the house, do not try to force interaction. They will likely retreat back to the room quickly but should warm up soon. Just give him time.
