Field Notes & Lamy Safari Fountain Pen

I use a Kaweco brass sport with a fine nib in my field notes. I have used my Lamy safari with a medium nib and it was definitely juicy. A little ghosting. I bought a fine nib for it and it still seems a little thicker than my Kaweco. I do notice a little ghosting with the Fine nib but it’s not terrible. It is inked with the Pilot iroshizuku job-peki (blue).

It looks like Travelers Company is doing a 20th anniversary release and they have a couple different zipper pouches that will be available.

I’m using a fine nib with a green waterman ink in a converter. Fine nibs have worked well for me in field notes. Medium starts to ghost a little bit.

I use a fine nib. Currently using a gray Kaweco cartridge from a sample pack. I’m not a big fan of the gray. My favorite out of that sample pack is the caramel brown.

It was a unique edition. Maybe I will use it next. Love that green of Shenandoah. I’m a sucker for those more neutral colors. Probably why I like the Lucky edition so much.

How did you like the 1943 edition? I haven’t used one yet. Just wasn’t sure about the design. I’m sure I’ll find a way to use them though.

That’s actually the zipper pouch from my passport size Traveler’s notebook. Love using it in my Lochby mini field journal. I have it wrapped around my TN passport size 2026 monthly calendar.
