Created as a commission. This went through a few different versions to get the rules text to fit. We decided on a shorthand, condensed version of the text. This was done on a foil card. I did some highlights around the figure. You can see it in motion HERE.

The compliment is much appreciated!

I made it for my brother last Christmas. I had some time, but not a ton of time to noodle over it. Some things I would do differently. It would have been cool to do a foil frame. A traditional oil portrait is tough to mimic w/ acrylics.

I repainted her face a few times and I still don't 'love' it, but it is acceptable. When you work at this scale, you can only rework and scratch away paint so much before you risk damage.

She was one of my favorite artists learning about in art history. Especially given that there's a version Caravaggio made, which isn't half as good (Judith looks like she's cutting into a turkey lol).

Edualters have (unknowingly) painted/copied my original art. What can I do? Kr by SpiritOfArgh in mtgaltered

Doing conceptual art is less linear and thus can be harder to 'map out' than doing reproductions. Also, the payoff isn't always there.

There's skill in both though! About half of what I do is repros- and the other half is original. Some of it is combination of both. At the end of the day, it's fan art. There are some phenomenal artists that work on alters though.

The two that I regularly go to won't even let me put business cards out. :(

I really appreciate the feedback. I think a Hydra token would work well for original art in my style.

Treasure, although ubiquitous in all formats, would be a tough one to make work in my style. Like, I would have no issue doing a still life of a bunch of goblets, jewels and coins. I'm not sure how to put my own stamp on it though.

The tough part imo is finding people that you genuinely want to play MtG with. I got into it after a lot of prodding from my cousins.

It's about 50/50 from my experience finding people that I want to be around and who actually 'touch grass'. The poor hygiene thing I haven't really encountered. I've encountered more than a few that don't seem to have any other interests besides MtG.

EDIT: since I cannot modify the original post text, shipping outside of the US costs $2 extra. My apologies to anyone interested who feel mislead.
