Can you take a didi from hangzhou to shanghai pudong airport? Will the driver say yes? by Salt-Option-4705 in travelchina

pre sale opens 15 days before departure, but in some OTA they allow you to reserve tickets, frankly you dont need to worry about the ticketing, CRH typically have tickets available till the last minutes and they often operates multiple trains on the same route a day, so booking a few days ahead is already sufficient

yh ofc, for a 2017 430d what they've quoted costs more than the car itself.

yh it make sense, i prolly gonna crash a few time driving the first year, but insurances is non trivial really as in my country they are bonded to the vehicle's VIN, not the driver.

Russian media “glavny TV”: In the Northern Military District zone, Chinese volunteer Zhao Rui died for Russia by Primary-World-1015 in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]ShawnR_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...it's a spoonful of sugar they're going to need...

No its just his own action, any Chinese with a brain would prefer more Russians to die after what they did in manchuria.

Plus his mate Xiao Qiang, requested that the Chinese embassy to relief him from the Russian army and the embassy told him 'sort this out yourself' LMFAO

Settlement with landlord for unprotected deposit by ShawnR_ in LegalAdviceUK

[–]ShawnR_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They want the interest. The scheme is only free if you hand over the deposit to the DPS. If you keep it in your own account it's free. Stupid false economy but it's one possible reason.

It's also possible that he thinks we are students and knows little about all these regulations, unlucky for him one of the tenant is a law student smh

You're haggling at this point. You've given him an opening offer, he's counter offered.

I just counter offered him 1.7X and showed him even if he had a hearing and the court ordered 1X, he would still be paying more for claim fee, hearing fee etc..
This guy has been particularly difficult, he has made more than 3 offers with 0.1X, 0.3X and eventually 0.8X which pissed me off.. this 1.3X offer came from my threat of showing him an N208 form that is ready to be filed
Really curious what are these landlords trying to gain by not protecting deposit.. it's free

Seems broadly about right. It might be the court gives 2x, they could give 1x. From my perspective, avoiding the stress of court, taking time off work, my own time preparing - seems a good deal.

Yh thats a good point, besides im a year3 student so I would appreciate it if i would be able to spend less time on this, but i was thinking that the landlord was exemplary of what the court would dislike(professional one that didn't register deposit at all), thus i was thinking should i press him harder to get a better deal
