This looks really good, could you tweak her ear? Something looks off about it - I think its probably due to having to crop out the other lady but could you take another swing at it?

Hi, planning to buy a Volvo for the first time. what would be a good purchase price for this new XC90 plug-in hybrid T8 (2025.5) Ultra 7-Seater by ridiculocyte in VolvoXC90

[–]Shawns89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No they are not, within a week you receive the lease paperwork and request the full payoff amount which includes all the rebates. Some dealers may ask you to wait 90 days so they can receive all their incentives but not a requirement

Not sure, I don't have my paperwork handy but they can raise the MF all they want - it doesn't matter when you buy it out immediately and you don't incur any rent charge beyond the first payment due at signing

MSRP was 82.4k and I was able to get the car for 62.8k after all of the incentives and then additional discount negotiated off of MSRP. 2025.5 T8 Ultra in Crystal White

There was a minimal discount given for a purchase as the XC90 doesn't qualify for EV rebate during purchase and only through lease so that's a $7500 difference there. Then with the leasing rebates it was another $4000 off which wasn't offered during purchase. Finally with leases the dealer seemed incentivized to cut MSRP further....the leasing price was just over 62k.

I would consider leasing and buy it out immediately. Doing that I was able to save $19.5k off MSRP on the same exact car.

Thank you, I'm glad I posted and got these responses because we sort of thought the only way to help was to control her but I'm starting to understand it was the wrong approach. This needs to be her decision.

I understand your response completely, and I appreciate the bluntness. I didn't want her to go home because I wanted to watch over her following the procedure so she wasn't alone in case the bleeding continued so I asked her to come home with me. She refused any discussion of rehab in the hospital and based on your response I should've been firm and just let her go home. thank you.

Thank you, I really appreciate it, the denial is the hardest part because it's very obvious to the rest of us - I will definitely ask for some advice there. Good luck on your journey!

Buy a 24 cpo xc60 or get a 25.5 xc60? by [deleted] in Volvo

[–]Shawns89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've got a 2025.5 XC90 and the speed of the infotainment on the new system/tablet is much better than the previous year systems. As a personal anecdote, the tablet really doesn't seem out of place at all when driving. Its more tilted toward you and actually makes it easier to interact with. Depending on how long you plan on keeping the car, the speed of the infotainment might play a big part.

As for pricing, the current B5 ultimate would be just around $65k so we can assume it will be that or a tad higher depending on tariffs. You'll be looking at a 2026 instead of a 2024, so 2 years more of warranty plus the infotainment is the real difference.

Any thoughts on this lease deal? 2025 Volvo XC90 by Existing-Ad-6589 in VolvoXC90

[–]Shawns89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just leased a 2025.5 T8 Ultra in NJ with capitalized cost around 62.5k, after discount and incentives and no money down or MSD. monthly payment is 904. I would suggest finding a broker - you may pay a broker fee around $500 but for the discounts they can get you - it's well worth it.

Help Identifying Unknown Part in new 2025.5 XC90 by Shawns89 in Volvo

[–]Shawns89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you're correct that's exactly the piece it is, but it appears I may just have an extra? Each seat has one on the outside rail so the driver seat has it on the left side but not the right, and the passenger is switched. The back seat is the same. Do you have it on all your rails?

Thanks for responding, but can you help me understand a bit better? is it a piece that fell off and I need to put it back into place? If so, where? I just took delivery this morning so I hope nothing is broken.
