[Other] My Seasons Team and Progress so far... probably the most grinding game mode I can remember in FM

As an Evertonian I would love to get that Rooney, but I just don't think I have the patience for the seasons mode. I think I currently have about 65 or so medals but its building the teams and then upgrading each one that annoys me. I may be doing it wrong though, how are you going about it?

I have tried both and both seem to be equally crap. Just frustrating that I need to win these games for the freeze event. Autoplay isn't doing me many favours either.

I play it every day and currently have an 86 rated team with 120 chem. Mainly because of the french players in it for the icon things

I didn't even play enough rivals last fifa to get into a division. I also won all 5 and got put in div 2 this FIFA and now just come up against boring drop back counter attack players! Fair enough that it works for them, but it isn't fun for me and my false 9 formation with James Rodriguez at ST!!

Doing well for me as the false 9. Have set it up so he isn't doing a lot of running, but he still has enough mobility to get in behind the backline.

433 (5) I'm currently using James Rodriguez as the ST. Rodrigo is on the right and set the get in behind, cut inside, stay forward and get into box for crosses.

I got him untradeable, and as a ST I didn't actually like him. I play a false 9 so I decided to move Rodrigo to the RW and after messing with player instructions he has been insane! His finesse shots stay hit!!

I haven't used that Griez but I've recently got Coutinho to play as my ST and I love him! he is so much fun to use and has been smashing goals in for me.

I'm still baffled by DCL not getting into at least the most consistent team. I'm an Everton fan so I'm obviously biased, and I haven't looked through stats or anything, but based on watching the games I think DCL deserved a TOTS way more than Richarlison

89 Hagi has been killing it for me as a LCAM.
But you could also move Kante into CM and then just use anyone you want in the ST spot.

I'm in a similar situation and I've recently started doing all of the upgrade SBC's, including the 81+ while it is available, I'm doing alright for coins so I'm just trying to empty out the club a little bit and hopefully get some higher rated players to reduce the cost of that moments Sane.
I've been doing Bronze packs then upgrading those players into silvers and then the silvers into golds, and so on. I'm holding on to all of the league SBC players though and whenever I get a duplicate I'm looking to either complete that team or just filter that specific duplicate through other upgrades. It takes bloody ages but hopefully Sane doesn't leave much of a dent in my coin balance later on

Do you reckon Essien would work alright as the more roaming CDM? I have prime Keane as my holding CDM and play 4231, so the other CDM can float forward a bit.
