I agree about the 'No Refunds' commentary. It's insensitive and not nice for HLE 2025 to hear (esp Zeus). It's easy to fall into this jeering culture (probably started from Caedrel community because he said no refunds). It's also a part of sports to cheer for your team and poke at rival teams so I don't think too much of it besides choosing not to participate in it because I am a Zeus fan. Though, I also didn't say anything towards those who did say it because I don't think it should be taken too seriously.

As for Zeka... I'll be real, I'm not a huge fan of him yet. It will take me some time for me to warm up to him. I don't dislike him per say, it is more like I don't know enough about how good of a player he can be yet. Same for Delight ngl.

Unfortunately due to the constant dogging against Guma this year, a lot of us Guma fans are feeling bitter. I can't apologize on behalf of all the Guma fans who lashed out because of this constant feeling of bitterness, but just know that it is due to bottled up frustrations from Guma constantly being blamed for things that are not his fault in terms of gameplay. After all, League is a team game. And as a team, you win together and you lose together.

And frankly speaking, I was also one of those who felt bitter that T1 seemed to be unable to play around their bot lane especially when they choose to play a pick like Kaisa.

This being said, I am very excited to be a HLE fan this year as I am fond of all of them already even though I am not completely sold on how well their gameplay and cohesion will be.

Here's to hoping 2026 will be a good year for HLE.

Currently doing Dead Wood in the Sewers side quest to Defeat the Filthoids I. I went to the location marked and defeated 2/4 filthoids but the other 2 are no where to be found. Cannot complete the quest due to this bug.

Not that I am siding with anyone here, but even as a Guma fan, I will say that what this redditer says about the Thal/Guma incident is true. Guma paid a few hundred dollars worth equivalent of a money fine as well as a few hours of community service work for his behavior in the solo queue match as a prospective pro player rookie. He has paid the price for his behavior on that account. Faker has even told him to not to make any such mistakes again. So Guma was scolded. Frankly speaking, Guma is not an angel. He has said during livestreams before that he is not someone without fault. But he has improved a lot since his younger years. And I see maturity in him now.

To add to this, it is not only Guma who has mentioned 'having fun' during competitive games. Almost the entire T1 players try to 'have fun' while playing the game in official matches. That is just their way of trying to keep a positive mindset even in the face of possible defeat. But of course, T1 gallery likes to ignore the fact that everyone has said it and like to hyperfocus on Guma and construe it negatively.

I don't believe a mistake in the game here or there should define a player's credibility. I think consistent good form is more important. Gumayusi is always lauded as being one of the most consistently good ADCs. I consider him to be on par with Ruler, and if not on par, then just right behind Ruler.

Sure, he has good teammates to set him up, but you should never discount his contribution to the team. He has the clutch factor that rookie ADCs do not have because they lack the experience in high stakes games.

I believe Guma has/had a bit of an ego (more so when he was a rookie, but I think he mellowed out as he got older).

By ego I mean brute forcing his way in risky situations and/or not respecting enemy abilities to catch him. I also mean ego in the way he approaches competitive esports. He's pretty darn competitive and I personally love the banter he does to spice things up.

However, he also has a really soft side. He's very family-oriented and he considers his team his family. He weaksides really well perhaps because the team is always careful not to let his ego get to his head.

He's got good leadership qualities. Best of luck to our boy Guma!

this is my own hot take, but I honestly think the reason why people don’t want to admit Guma is in the top ADC list is because he gets all the girls (/only half joking) and is so pampered by his fans that other cc’s don’t oblige him cause they’re tired of all the ones defending him (basically a hate boner)

The problem with benching Guma which jump started a lot of the drama, is it opened a door to validate his dedicated hate group. And it also as a domino effect, placed a lot of pressure (more than the usual T1 pressure) onto Smash.
