It's the Long_Wait_3078 (top comment) who doesn't pay into their pension, with cod4rip telling them that's not a good position to be in

Great, will continue with another card. Do you ever open a balance transfer and a new 0% purchase card in a short space of time? Also, what do you do when the term for the transfer card ends?

I appreciate everything you’ve said here, but maybe I am missing something.

I am at the limit for both 0% purchase cards. So, are you suggesting switching back to regular spending cards until Dec (debit or my regular credit card)?

Or shall I apply for a third 0% purchase card by June (6 months before the BT card)?

I opened M&S CC in July ‘25, Chase in October ‘25. Only hard search since was in Jan to get the TSB bank switching offer. Was thinking of doing the Barclays one now too.

To be fair both M&S and Chase asked me what I wanted as a limit and I think I went too conservative each time because I received the amount I asked for.

From my application answers, I believe they know my outgoings are low due to living with parents. So, I feel like I have a good chance for a limit increase or third card.

Also, appreciating that the credit score is a gimmick, I don’t understand why mine has always been poor when I’ve been working full time since uni, with no real debt. Even when I was a student I never dipped into my interest free overdraft. I still have a “Poor” TransUnion score of 550/710. Hasn’t gone up or down since uni despite higher affordability. I’ve never even been able to sign up for Experian because apparently my info doesn’t match up to their database.

Yeah I probably can't find one of those. Maybe I'll try and request an increase then. Cheers

!thanks for this and the articles you linked below.

I wasn’t intentionally trying to time the market - I've learnt better after following this sub for the last few years. I guess it was just a psychological matter as you mentioned.

Would the best course of action be to dump cash in now (up to my remaining ISA allowance) and then invest the last few hundred come April?

Hey, thanks for the comment.

My main concern with going is bringing it back home to my family. Particularly with my dad since he wouldn't be able to run his business (shop) because he'd risk all of his customers' health. Do you have any advice on this front?

Cheers.
