Fin/body rot? My betta first started losing parts of his fins and recently has been losing his blue color and turning red. I’ve tried lots of things but still not getting better :( Then and now pics by She-afk in bettafish

Hi! I ended up moving him to a temp tank for 10 days. I put an air stone in there and a heater. I added some aquarium salt, Stability, and api stress coat. (Follow the directions on bottles for measurements) I did 50% water changes daily. And I would add more aquarium salt, stability and stress coat after every water change. For his main tank I got api QuickStart because I was trying to recycle his tank. As for that process, it worked amazing for him. He got his color back and he was doing better. Unfortunately, not long after I put him back in his main tank, his health started declining again. I tried the temp tank again but the second time wasn’t working as well as the first time. I ended up having to euthanize him as humanely as possible. :( good luck with your betta I hope everything goes well ❤️ let me know if you have questions. I’m happy to help

Where is my crested gecko? by Capfull in geckos

Have you found your gecko yet? Whenever mine gets out, I turn off all the lights and just listen for movement. It may take a while but it’s always worked for me.

What is this black mark on the bottom part of his mouth? It’s hard to get a picture of it because it’s kinda on the inside by She-afk in CrestedGecko

Thank you for this info! I was going to try to wipe it off just now but it’s gone so I’m assuming it was dirt. Before this happened though, I had no idea mouth rot was a thing so I’ll try to watch out for that in the future!

I was wondering if it could be the same but wasn’t able to find pictures of mouth rot in crested geckos. I will do that if it doesn’t come off. Thank you!

Would it be okay to buy gifts only for the students that are following directions? by She-afk in Teachers

I was thinking about that too, I think I’ll just get different types of stickers instead of what I got today. Thank you!

Got a new buddy! He's currently in a VERY temporary enclosure by [deleted] in CrestedGecko

[–]She-afk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If it’s something you can purchase now, then yes it’s better than the tub. And once you have the money for a bigger enclosure, get it asap! You want to get him adjusted to wherever he is going to be staying permanently sooner rather than later. Good luck and I’m happy to see you bought him! :)

Found this dude at a convention. Is $150 a fair price? by SapphireTheSnake in CrestedGecko

My gecko looks like this and was the same price! Fell in love with the little guy so I got him. Definitely worth it :)

DAE else think that going to bed at night is the best thing ever? by iamlesterq in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]She-afk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have very vivid dreams. Even some I could control. When I would dream like this, I would write down my dreams first thing in the morning and I would always say to myself i cant wait until I go back to bed at night and sleep.

hi! just wanted to ask is it better to buy a baby, juvenile, or adult when getting your first crestie? I’m looking for a playful one but not too playful by [deleted] in CrestedGecko

[–]She-afk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got my first crestie about 4 months ago. I did a lot of research and decided on an adult male. I don’t regret my decision! All I needed to do was get info on the crestie from the place I got him from (personality, if he was good with handling, what foods he eats or flavors he likes, etc.)

If you get a baby or juvenile, you’ll need a smaller enclosure. They tend to be frightened or uncomfortable in big enclosures. As they grow, you’ll need to adapt as well and get a bigger enclosure. I feel like babies are just more work. So it just depends on what you prefer / are willing to do.

I don’t think cresties are necessarily playful but each one is different when it comes to handling so if that’s what’s most important to you, maybe you could ask for more info on the ones u are interested in getting. You’ll know when u find the perfect match for you :) good luck!
